I don't even really mind the lighter vibes. It reminds me a lot of LR in how neat it is. Having to do certain things specifically and check every map almost every chapter to see what's new is neat but progression is so fucking slow that way. It was pretty fun but i've put it in my backlog while I clear some more "simple JRPGs"

Notes: I only ever played Crystal Chronicles solo so I haven't honestly played it (it fucking sucks solo man) but I still had to include it on a technicality.I didn't organize the rows whatsoever, it's just the general feeling of how much I enjoyed the game upon its completion (or when I just stopped playing in some cases). The exception to this is the top row, that is properly in order.

If it's numbered FFs only, FFVII was the first one where I was old enough to appreciate the nuances of a long form story, and that's a hell of a first for a 12 year old. FFXI is my favorite Final Fantasy because I was around for its golden age, so the community at the time boosts its rank for me. MMOs lose a lot of luster when you don't have a lot of other people like you to play with so I can't imagine it holds up as well in its elderly age.

I have an unreasonable hate for FFX.I loved 7, liked 8, kind of liked 9 even though 9 combat was slooooooow and then... X... WTF was that? Those minigames,? That (more than usual) braindead combat? That story written by a 6-year old? Voice acting that was cringey... It's like everyone that likes X, is somehow extra offending to me. I hate you and I want you to suffer. Blitzball was cool, I give you that.

I love Ivalice, the aesthetics, the stories, even the GBA and DS games. FFT is great and I loved FFXII's gambitsIX is the quintessential Final Fantasy while X is close behind for me
