Did you at least advertise it? Doesn't matter where. 4chan, itch.io, etc. if what your looking for is exposure shadow dropping your game will not achieve that. Even a demo can help
It isn't enough to make a good game you also have to market it as people won't magically acquire knowledge about your game being available for purchase

Your game WILL get drowned out by high-budget games, small studio games, indie games and even singledev games with marketing. If people dont know about your game they'll never know to look for it. You'll be drowned out by websites selling x that are better known (advertising) or have paid to get boosted search result hits.
