Yes, it is indeed comedy gold that modern day (assumed) adults get filtered by a literal children's games of the Y2K era.

That being said, REmake was made for the RE1-3 veterans. NOT to be picked up as your first RE game. Start with the 1996 RE1 like everyone else, play Jill's campaign first, and then replay as Chris + proceed through the sequels in release order.

This will probably make you hate me even more, but my first RE game was RE2 remake. I've also played 7 and RE4 remake.

That said, do you think I should give the ps1 game a try?
