Zoomers on X claim this is the best year of gaming. Do we agree or disagree?

2007 was a great year for vidya

I think it’s unanimous that 1998 was the best

The golden age of video games was 1985-2011.
>>
1. 1998
2. 2001
3. 2007

1998 was probably the best year. I think 2007 actually kind of fucking sucked.
>>

Insanely overrated year that is carried hard by the Orange Box and Galaxy. 2001/2004 are so much better when comparing the catalogue of games one on one.

What release dates are these going by? AJAA was 2007 in Japan but 2008 everywhere else. Meanwhile T&T was a straight port from GBA content-wise so it should be 2004 if you're using Japanese dates.

Anyway, disagree. 1992, 1998 and 2004 would be my picks.

Shit list.Burning Crusade is better than all of those combined
