>>724348000>Everything should be on Steam, Nintendo Microsoft Sony whatever day fucking one. That's not what people want, people want unique things, look no further than apple and it's walled garden and blue bubbles vs green bubbles.
>>724349154>If i dont spend 1000 dollars buying every companies console, AAA slop wont be unique! They have played you for a fucking fool
>>724349486>>If i dont spend 1000 dollars buying every companies console, AAA slop wont be unique! That's not the point I am making the point I am making is that people like unique selling points like exclusivity, you just buy the system form the company you like the product the most. This is how all of this works why do we pretend being a all knowing genus when that's how the mobile world works that's how PC work nvidia vs amd vs intel and more.
I'm not one for AI slop, but Dall-E peach is pretty damn cute.

>>724348000I don't have enough energy to be witty. Console exclusives basically were the biggest deciding factor in what game system you wanted. Even at the early advent of 3d gaming, games had to built differently on different systems. Sega Genisis and Super Nintendo games weren't the same, Nintendo 64 and Playstation games were more than just ports, so when you see, say, Gex 3 hsa a level missing from the N64 version or the N64 version of Toy Story 2 had some of the OST scrambled around, you now know why. Back then, console exclusives were what fueled the industry to make good and compelling games, because if they didn't the competition would garner more attention and sales. Back then, people were saying multiplats would be for the best for everyone, and while I think on paper I agree, in the long run I'm not sure. Nobody of the 3 big consoles right now are competing for the better online subscription deal, XBOX and Nintendo are pretty comfortable shitting their pants around each other today.
