SA1 was so nice man, when are we getting SA1 2?
>>
>>724365716
Yes but there's mods to fix it on PC.
>>
>>724365716
worst port of a port of all time. such a fucking good game though. I miss the dreamcast VMUs with the chaos. it's amazing no one has ever recreated that.
>>
dunno never played it.
>>
Part of what makes me dislike led lamp posts is how they make the real world look like the lower part of the image.
>>
>>724365716
Was this the game that started the trend of shit remasters/port
Earliest one I can think of is Ninja Gaiden Trilogy on SNES

It's such a shame the ports of both SA1 and SA2 screwed up so much. Both are great games but unless you play SA1 on the Dreamcast and SA2 on the Gamecube you need like a million mods to fix all the things that got borked during porting.
>>
SADX was fine on the GameCube.
>>
>>724367265
heroes was pretty bad too
>game is advertised as 720p on xbox
>its only 480p
>fucking runs at 30fps on ps2 for some reason LMAO

Real men play DX. The glitches build character.
>>
>>724367670
>couldn't even be ported to pc like adv 1/2 because it runs on renderware which EA now owns the rights to
can't make this shit up
>>
>>724368779
its on PC already they just probably cant re-release it
>>
>>724367670
>30fps

Way less than that in lot of scenes.
>>
Was SpongeBob's house in the game? I haven't played since I was a kid
>>
>>724367265
If you didn't play both SA1 and SA2 on Dreamcast, you didn't play the games.
>>
>>724367265
SA2 is okayish, PC fudges light as usual but can be patched back.

SADX is above fucked and only recently people finally brought most of DC features back.

The worst part of the SA2 PC port is the messed up camera and control issues, it literally makes the game worse to play unless you patch a fix for them.

Somebody deduce this image for me.

Give me the honest, brutal, truthpill, on if I should play Sonic Adventure if I've never cared about Sonic in my life but recently got into Dreamcast games
>>
>>724369729
It's works as a tech demo.
>>
>>724368854
The PC port of Heroes is bad too, it's extra buggy with worse graphical qualities in places. You're best off just emulating the Gamecube version on PC.
>>
>>724369729
you have to be autistic or a kid to get the full enjoyment out of the game otherwise you'll probably be annoyed outside of the sonic/tails stages
>>
>>724369729
It's fun.
>>
>>724369949
pretty sure mods have fixed a bunch of problems with the pc porn now
>>
>>724369729
It's fairly fun to run around in the game and it's pretty short
I'd say it's worth a go, just don't play the DX version without mods where you'll clip through floors and the lighting is all fucked

Sonic Adventure was one of the first games developed and released for the Dreamcast, and is as much a showcase of the console's capabilities as it is a Sonic game. Big the Cat has fishing gameplay to show off the water effects and that the Dreamcast would work for things like Sega Bass Pro Fishing, E-102 Gamma has shooting gameplay to show off how that would work on the Dreamcast, they tried to do the best possible with things like fire effects and cutscenes, etc.

In addition to trying to attract players Sega was trying to attract 3rd party developers, and Sonic Adventure was intended to be a showcase for both (and was one of the most impressive games before the PS2 came out).

Also it's just fun, things like the spin dash and Tails' flying give you tremendous movement and it's fun to just play around with similar to Mario 64.

Dreamcast is for connoisseurs of good art and humor
DX is for poser memelords
>>
>get told that the sa2 port isn't as bad as sadx
>get to a mech stage
>the fucking laser explodes my eardrums
Nice
>>
>>724369729
sa1 has the best movement of any 3d sonic to date because sonic can actually turn around and has the spamdash for speedrunning autism
>>
why do you chimpanzees keep taking screenshots of google on your phone instead of just saving the fucking picture

Played SA1 for the first time a year or so ago on Steam, with Dreamcast lighting and models of course, as well as a complete Rouge character replacement mod. It was fun.
