Games where the antagonist is beaten into submission and accepts the protagonist's clearly superior way of thinking?
too late
If it goes on sale for like $30-$40 with DLC and implements this I'd consider it

>>724369740Wait what happened to Civ, they removed the core game mechanic?
>>724369740What the fuck? You weren't allowed to play out the fantasy of an ancient civilization making it to the modern era?
>>724369740Don't care not buying or pirating. It's shit
>>724371550Nope. You'd change into a different civ a few times when making it to different eras.
>>724369740That would still most likely turn out shit, since the civs have presumably been designed to work only in that one age they were playable in.
>>724369740kek what the fuck>Street Fighter 7 to get the most requested feature since launch>The ability to remain as the Character you selected until the end of the matchhow fucking badly do these kikes need to subvert every single thing they touch? What a bunch of sickening worthless parasites.

>>724372817It would have been cool if you switched leaders at certain points (Washington, then the option to Jackson or Lincoln, then the option to go Teddy or FDR, etc) but that would get in the way of spamming shitty irrelevant "civs" like Canada.
>>724369740i understand why they made the change but why the fuck did they make the change? i know a lot of games are just grindy snowballs where you've effectively win the game by X turns but it takes another 2000 years to actually win the game. but surely there is some better anti-snowball mechanic or some way to reduce the amount of snowballing?
civ has been such a shit series starting with 5; it set the standard for making the game a hideous dlc simulator.
>>724369740Wait, you don't play as the same Civ?Note, havent' played Civ game since 5. Would rather play SMAC over anything past 2 any day of the week.

>>724371265>cool white guy people like>literally who DEI characterAt least they started including the cool white guy to boost sales. They aren't as delusional as I thought
>>724373379They saw how many people found the early game to be the funnest part of the game and never actually finished games so they made a mechanic to soft reset the game several times over a run. I suspect it also had a lot to do with making it easier to ship more microtransactions because they can just shit out leader packs now instead of leader+civ.
>>724373584You change civilisation after each ageThe only reason they did this is to be able to sell infinitely more dlcsWhat's funny is that this concept was introduced by another 4X (humankind), that failed because of it years ago, and civ still copied the idea
>>724373379>snowballing isn't a problem outside of competitive autism that should be ignored.>make the AI not completely retarded and the mid-late game won't be a slog>let players automate some of the boring city planning and make the AI that handles that automation not completely retardedThere your late game is fixed
>>724373890Pretty sure there were ChangeCivLeader mods for civ4 so no it's not really new
Civ VI remains supreme
>>724373584>>724373890On top of that, Leaders are no longer tied to civilizations (ie: Cleopatra to the Egyptians, Teddy Roosevelt to America) and are instead entirely free. For the first time in Civ history you can play as the great Khmer-Bulgarian-Japanese warrior queen Harriet Tubman. Unironically.
>>724373890>humankindit is just bad game, FIDS system suck in general
>>724369740Not touching it anymore. Their EULA shit let's them dig through and sell your info. Pity I didn't get a refund after that was added
>>724374041>Leaders are no longer tied to civilizationsi think you have this as extra mode in iv if not earlier
>>724371135Seems, pretty much everyone disagrees, but feel free to make your case if you give a fuck.
>>724369740Too little, too late.
>>724374041I never minded the option of mixing leaders and Civs, since the game by its nature is already full of ahistoric nonsense so whats one more layer
>>724371135you are a shit eater.
>>724373890LOLThat's pretty dastardly. Guessing their rationale is that Civs sometimes undergo historic name changes and distinct culture shifts throughout the ages.I can sorta get it, but yea, more likely for the DLC pushing. Fuck that company lmao.>>724374021See pic. Quote from a grad student friend of a developer. Literal who.
>>724374286It would suck without wifi, you knew this.
>>724373987>snowballing isn't a problem outside of competitive autism that should be ignoredSnowballing isn't really a problem for competitive players since they're able to recognize when they're in an unwinnable position and can just type gg
>>724369740Uhh this is actually videogames you don't need to say something stupid like you're pretending some off-topic image is related to videogames
>civ4 was good>civ5 was perfect>civ6 was fortnite>civ7 was bad
>>724371550DAISEKO. CORRECT. They took the worst feature from humankind and fucked it up even further. So, say you pick Egypt. You CANNOT play an entire game as Egypt. You must switch, and the natural switch options are Songhai, which is Mali. yes. Mali is in west africa, but FUCK you, bigots. OR you can pick MONGOLIA. Finally, in the modern age, you get Buganda, which is a region in southern Uganda. They had commerials with fat black women leading mongolians. The people who decided to do this are still employed.
>>724374090What's wrong with fids? It's the same as civ, but with influence instead of cultureI really liked everything except civ switching and pollution in humankindIn particular, the neolithic era was really interesting and I wish everyone had copied it
>>724374435Main issue is industry is just better than everything else. By a lot.
>>724373379They wanted to force players to play as more irrelevant black nations, and to put them at the same level as the great empires.>but surely there is some better anti-snowball mechanic or some way to reduce the amount of snowballing?Probably. One possibility is forcing splits based on civil war for large, unweildly empires, as has happened, or gigantic catastrophies causing the periphery to break away.
>>724374286Beyond being able to sell more DLC (which didn't work out for Humankind either) the idea as they put it was "snowballing is a flaw, and people don't play out the end game" and their solution was to basically break the game up into three separate smaller games with some stuff resetting and civ changes between the eras. The concept was completely disliked since the original announcement and disliked on launch.
>>724374140correct, there is an option in IV to unlock leaders from civs, but this >>724374383 is one of the most retarded things I've ever seen>>724374090>female basedentistthey really just can't help themselves
>>724374383Modern age Buganda next to the British and Russian empires will never not seem like some kind of humiliation ritual for Africans.
>>724374383The whole meme of Civ is games full of crazy nonsense shit with no basis in real history happening, so I don't really see why these aren't acceptable while Poland founding Islam or China spawning Beethoven are
>>724374549>>724374549>>female basedentist polish cover is the most chud one, also poles actually had famous female scientist - Maria Curie
>>724374559>New Wonder>Literal Mud Hut>1855 CE
>>724374041...and if you're separating leader and civ, you should be picking the greatest leaders regardless of civ or time, which makes harriet tubman even more riddiculous of a choice.
>>724374340It's a problem because they don't want one guy with a lucky start to snowball and automatically win. I don't play comp though so this is just 2nd hand info. Even more of a reason to stop caring about snowballing if it isn't a problem for comp either
>>724374628It breaks immersionIMO the worst is not the player having to switch civs all the time, but the AIs
>>724374090That cover concept is pretty cool, playing as one civilization across the eras.Maybe i'll play a game that ACTUALLY LETS ME DO THAT
>>724369740This will fix none of the crippling problems with the game.
>>724369740all they had to do was to make it so you can pick one of the traditional civs and stick to it, or play a custom civ that is dynamic. this adds to the strategy and is fun. instead they shat on all the old civs. they could even make certain civs that branched into different civs like rome becoming the different european empires.but of course, being the petty fucks that they are, they tried forcing their idea on everyone by making the extreme of their idea be mandatory
>>724374749Humankind lets you do that: you can decide to not change civ, which gives you bonusesBut AIs will change all the time
>>724374435i don't like itin civ systems are more connectedlike you get trade(cash) that you use for upkeep or to FUND science and can rush production, it just feel more naturalin endless games they are more separate
>>724374383>They took the worst feature from humankind and fucked it up even further. In humankind it was good. I'll die on this hill. It was different and opened up a lot of genuine strategy allowing for destinct shifts in direction throughout the game. The problem is that Civ 7 was shit and did it terribly and also that nobody wanted something different from mainline civ.
>>724374628The other examples come about by removing restrictions and letting chance fall where it is. This example comes about by forcing completely retarded, ahistorical combinations. Imagine if Poland MUST found islam or China can ONLY spawn Beethoven. If you're going down this route, why the fuck are you insisting on Buganda in the first place? It's humankind but more idiotic.
>>724374090>>724374665today I will remind them
>>724374743Should just the player choose which civ leader from the unlocked ones they want to interact with for waifuism
>>724374882It's not a matter of mechanicsIn Civilization you play the civilization. You win if your civilization enduresIf you switch civilization, your civilization is gone, you lost
>>724373379Most games are single player and people generally like snowballing when they are playing a solo game even if its grindy, and the best a dev should do is implement things which make the snowball harder to achieve. Getting an advantage -> snowballing -> quitting as the game gets towards the latter era can seem like a flaw that needs work, but its a formula that for single player games many have been happy with for decades and trying to force heavy handed "fixes" have backfired.
>>724374928It would be better to let anyone swap to any civ in each era's pool, but I think most people here would still prefer to not have swapping at all>>724374987Eh, very debatableThere's nations today that have changed their names over the centuries but can still fairly claim to be the same 'civilization' that stood there a thousand years ago
>>724374968> you defeat Peter the great> offer peace, but only if he changes to Catherine and pledges to serve you
>>724374628>idiosyncrasies arising from semi-random gameplay elements are the same as un-fun nonsense baked into the core design of the game
>>724374628yes but the whole theme of civ is to lead one civ and test it against time not jump civs
>>724374705holy fuck, I can't believe they actually did thisI would do this and I think the KKK are liberal faggots
>>724374792It's at best a band-aid that can be attempted without a huge investment, but yeah the problem is that the fundamental game formula is not what Civ players want, so they'll stick with 6 and 5.
>>724374731>It's a problem because they don't want one guy with a lucky start to snowball and automatically winThat's fair, but in this case snowballing is really just an exacerbation of the issue that comes from trying to play competitively in a game with random starts imo.
>>724374987Nah, that's retard shit.If you have a three digit IQ there's no trouble differentiating your faction on the map from the literal name of the civ, keeping them as an abstract in your mind. Realistically this happens even in regular civ games.Big Civ 7's ages broke that continuity so they didn't even feel like it was one civ.
>>724374628Broadly speaking, people don't like losing their progress "just because" in a 4X game (or most genres really), which is what happens with the era system.
>>724374628To me it just feels wrong. One of the common tag lines always was "can you build a civ to stand the test of time?" Apparently no. There's probably a better word for it but it goes against the spirit of the series to me. If they wanted to switch passive effects they should've had it be different leaders of the same civ or governments or something
>>724371135Civ 7 sucksCiv 6 sucks slightly lessCiv 5 is greatCiv 4 is greatCiv 3 is greatI never played 2I never played 1
>>724374628>>724375302The poor player count at least isn't really anything about what Civ claims to be or anything along those lines, it is just an approach that people don't want. Humankind tried all this without the baggage of having prior entries, and people didn't like that either.
>>724375110>you will never play a Civ IV forcefem vassal modwhy live
>>724375352civ 5 was your first
>>724374882It's a matter of taste, but I went into Humankind fully expecting to like the feature, and only found out I hated it when I tried it. I suspect this is what happened to a lot of people, given the hype for it in humankind and the backlash when it made it into civ. Kinda sucks for the civ devs as they were doing all their design and planning during the hype phase but thems the breaks.
>>724375485Incorrect
>>724374212This is why I prefer 4chanIf someone is being a nigger you can tell them to stop being a nigger to their face
>>724375487I don't blame Humankind for trying it, at the drawing board stage it is hard to see how it would have worked out in practice and was worth the try. I don't get why anyone would look at the result of Humankind and not run far away from that approach though.
>>724375487I didn't dislike the culture switching itself, I just thought the cultures were really poorly balanced.
yeah okay still not buying it til I can get the game+dlc for $10
>>724375571In too deep, too much work already done, too many important people with egos would have to say 'I was probably wrong and it cost the company time and money'. Easier to just let it slide. They weren't getting there without being shown there was no other choice.
Why should I play this woke, fucking retarded garbage when there's decades of better fucking games. I don't need to deal with harriet goddamn tubman and wait 6 years for them to put out a complete game through their shitty dlc. Fuck you OP, stop shilling this garbage
One grievance I have with 7 that I don't think I see anyone else expressing is that they seem to have let city sprawl get way out of handI liked the district system in 6 and how it meant cities physically expand as they grow, but I keep seeing footage where every city looks like this
>>724375552I played that on my ds
I am going to reinstall Civ 6sorry
>>724375745Big cities are GOOD though.
>>724375745i think all modern civ and civ likes have city sprawl problem
>>724375487I liked it at its core in Humankind, just as I did most of the game's other mechanics. The problem is that they never got refined with proper expansions and development because the game didn't do great.
>>724375561This nigga knows what's up. >>724375571The key problem is that people feel a deep identification with their civilization, and there needed to be a way to maintain that central idea even if you're switching things culturally. Previous civ games I think handled this well. >>724375302>>724375087A specific example is like the continutity of Japan. stone age to feudal, then pivoted to imperail with the Meiji Revolution and Perry, then pivots to modern commerical. Civ 7 won't let you have the goddam samurai. And won't let you have Midevil England vs France.
>>724375781>>724375745Which I think is understandable, because modern civilization has a sprawl problem.
>>724375745It's another thing they copied from Humankind but got worse; instead of the sprawl being intentional, generic, and a lot of the point of building the city, it's just an endless mass of normal civ buildings on their own tile for no reason.
>>724375745>>724375773>>724376045Look at this
>>724376105Ok, you're right, big cities are a problem.
>>724376105>ninevahWhere I draw the line
>>724375745Civ 6 generates megacities too, except there you do it by having multiple cities placed close to each other so they can stack adjacency bonuses.
>>724376045Even the most heavily populated nations on Earth don't come close to carpeting MOST of their land in city
>>724376216Counterpoint: that is most of their land if you don't count mountain hexes.
>>724376105>Playing with yield displays onPeople actually do this
>>724376105Definitely made by city fucks who don't understand farm country.
>>724376210Not at all. In 6 you are limited on districts by city population and most cities will only have 4 or 5. 7 Each building is a tile so you sprawl all over the screen, it's insanely ugly.
>>724376414I get that the journey to get there is different, but the destination is still megacities. You just get there by having a larger number of cities grow into each other.
>>724374383I can kind of understand the though process assuming they made this change under the premise that civilizations "evolve" over time, but it's the kind of change that makes me wonder if anyone on the design team ever actually played Civ. It goes so far against the expectations and desires of the playerbase so much so that they better have a damn good reason for the change. Otherwise it's a huge miscalculation.

Sid Meier thought you should experiment with new stuff, too. They tried and failed. The real problem with Civ is it became a series know for "buy it a few years later, after an xpac has come out and restored all the systems that got gutted out of the base game"
>>724381184>This wouldn't be an issue if they had any fucking standards. The issue is that standards (and reality) are in direct competition with their objectives. If objective notability criteria were applied, the disparity they're working to overcome would remain. But they begin with the premise that objectivity itself is biased >>724381374, and in a profound way, and thus have no problem casting it aside in favor of "reconstructing" history as they believe it actually was (read: should have been).Does this particular woman deserve an article beyond a stub mentioning her baseline biographical details? Probably. Certainly not on the basis of what they've currently cobbled together to display for us. They have so few real sources to work with that nearly a third of her article is blatant padding and after reading it I still have no idea who she was or what she did that was worthy of note.
I still don't understand why people are so vehemently opposed to the system of civ switching, if anything it provides a much more strategic way of playing, and it's also a much more believable concept than your original civ retaining its identity from the stone age to the Mars landingHell, you even keep most of the important things from each civ you pick - buildings/quarters, unique civics, whatever bonuses come from those, the only real things you lose are units and some passives, but just like in real life you still have a core that's built around your origins
>>724371265>we need 2 pirate leaders>Blackbeard and literally any of the age of sail explorers or privateers>nonono one of them has to be a woman>okay how about that chinese chick who was genuinely leader of a pirate fleet larger than the actual navy?>NO NOT DIVERSE ENOUGH!
>>724383017a lot of people start with the idea of racism first, then built an argument around it.It does massively dilute the feeling of cohesion and singular influence for you game though. Civ isn't really about choosing a whole other branch to go down at the complete exclusion of the others, you tend to get all techs, maybe you abandon religion to benefit something else but there's not such drastic binaries. By swapping it around you lose that "roleplay" or throughline and it reduces it down to numbers and strategy. Hurts the identity of that playthrough and despite the additional choices, they tend to bleed into eachother. There's a reason roguelikes are not 12 hours per run.
>>724373890>The only reason they did this is to be able to sell infinitely more dlcsNo, not the only reason. It was a solid bonus but you also have to consider the fact that they have literally no clue how to balance the late game and make it entertaining so the civ swap bullshit is an excuse to make you repeat the first 100 turns 3 times because its all they know how to design
>>724383171I'm not really sure what you mean by that, you're putting it like you're forced to switch styles completely with every switch, which is only the case if that's how you want to play itIt's not like you're forced to switch to a Mongolian warband age from cultural Egypt just because you chose Ghengis Khan as your leader or something, if anything a switch is there to capitalize on the strengths you focused on in the previous age
>>724383589I dont know the exact system, I'm just saying I dont like it much.I was disinterested in civ7 because it seemed like it had barely any content, was absurdly expensive, and designed around slow drip dlcs instead of an actual upgrade to 6 (or even 5).

>>724383017>I still don't understand why people are so vehemently opposed to the system of civ switchingSimple. The execution was absolutely awful, in both a gameplay and narrative sense. You can fuck up one of those things and still have a serviceable game. Having to change the leader after every age seems like a neat idea that should have been it's own game mode. Throws curveballs at players now that their buffs and all that are different. But it shouldn't have been the main mode.

>>724385529>Vlad the ImpalerI've been thinking about this for a long time. He is a unique looking historical ruler who not only has done some badass stuff but also has this whole air of mystique and folklore around him.How the FUCK has he never been in a Civ game?
>>724387060Because he was being racist against turkish immigrants.
>>724371265Why is Firaxis so racist against the Irish?
>>724370568"NOO! Don't you see? Civ VI and V had the same drop off on release! Also, there are millions of players on PlayStation!" - actual /v/ shills on release. These people don't even like or play the games they shill.
>>724387060Romanians dont buy video games and are the wrong kind of brown.
>>724387060You can't have a hero against the evil of the Ottomans because they're non-white, and that would be racist. Alexander was too legendary to avoid.
>>724387060Because the people he impaled run the show now.
>>724373636>>724383165Asians are white-adjecent and therefore hitlers, chud!
>>724374383>They had commerials with fat black women leading mongolians.Link please. Not doubting, wanna laugh.
>>724369740Desu I played civ 6 for the first time and it kinda just felt like a very primitive version of Paradox games.Guess this is one of those relic series for boomers grew up with and buy out of habit.
Humankind being the Civ killer by driving Firaxis to suicide their game will never stop being funny. >>724371265For me it's adding the Ottomans in the same pack as fucking Iceland. Clearly both nations were of equal historical significance.
>>724369740Only the most deranged retards can copy a failed game like Humankind and say yep we can make that work! I don't get it at all these days. I feel like game development has become a 9-5 job thats worked by uninterested retards. Why is it that the early developers were able to make Alpha Centauri a Civ 2 mod basically but the world, every faction was so full of lore, flavor and passion that it stands out even today. I feel passion of the people making it even today. Why is that AoE 3 realized that you can pick to remain the same civilization or "revolt".I can't believe that developers working on game called Civilization don't realize they're mooching off real life lore. You're borrowing a open IP the real world and working on it. So if you're doing that WHY THE FUCK did you not have logical evolutions of your civs? Let's say a game goes like thisThe Antiquity Age EgyptiansThe Exploration AgeMamluk Sultanate or Ayyubid Sultanate of EgyptThe Modern Age / Information AgeRepublic of EgyptThey already have so little in terms of ages they could have given each civ it's own "civilization" line. With branches that say "I want to remain ancient Egypt"
What's the modding situation in 7 like?
>>724389095The thing is that you can't do Egypt timeline like that because game mechanics don't support it.Either your ancient Egypt will stand the test of time and remain forever or it will be conquered by another empire that will last forever until conquered.Civ games don't simulate conditions that lead to internal decline of empires and this is why civ switching in these games is bad because they are completely arbitrary and not supported by the game mechanics.
>>724381501>He doesn't know
>>724370568It still disgusts me that 6 is more popular than 5. The same things should've happened to it. Districts fucking suck.
Is Civ 7 worth playing at all? As in, if it goes on discount for 10$ or cheaper in the future would it be worth checking out or is there nothing redeemable about it?
>>724389095>I don't get it at all these days. I feel like game development has become a 9-5 job thats worked by uninterested retardsI think you get it 100%, passionate talented devs don't make vidya anymore (indies excluded)
>>724389848I would have included IV in the chart, but it was too depressing.
>>724389848At least 6 still feels like a Civ game. 7 shits all over it by doing the retarded evolving civ bullshit that nobody wanted
>>724375087>Eh, very debatableVery not debatable.
Switching civs isn't the bad part. Its the reset button at each era.
>>724387060>Voivode of Wallachia>WallachiaFirst one is obvious it's too small and irrelevant historically having spent most of it's time as an Vassal state of Hungary, Otomans, Poland, Russian states. It was independent for a whole 87 years. In that 87 years it did not expand it's territory. Second is is that Civ is trying mega giga hard to be woke and include useless piece of shit that avoid being called "Euro centric" so they have Harrient Tubman and whatnot. Some literally nobody tribes from Africa and total and utter ignorance of the far east, the many states of China, Japan, India and South East Asia. Wallachia is one of them fortress states let me show you what I mean. Geography or well Topography is how most borders in Europe are made. They had a river down south and mountains in the North. They never needed to expand because they were a fortress state. It's the same reason very few people conquers the Greeks, Austro Hungary, Italy or Spain. And knowing the terrain like this it makes it unbelievably impressive that Cartage attacked Rome from the North.
>>724389984Last I saw, it was a dumpster fire. Even if all of the wokeshit and era resets were stripped out, the maps are absolutely laughable dogshit, the UI looked gross, the systems seemed less engaging than even VI, and there's no modern era. There's a reason why even the biggest Firaxis shills moved on from the game.
>>724373636That's how they can pretend there were lots of women leaders. They find the singular one that most people can find in a quick google search, and then scour the earth for a mention of another and use that. There just weren't many women leaders, because women are just terrible.
>>724389353There can be internal conflicts aplenty while the borders and civilization remain the same. It's can be an ideological invasion like what happened in China basically where the western idea of Communism took hold and reshaped the country. It can be Religions invasions. Where a society is reshaped by the ruler decreeing a new religion you had this happen many times in history the most famous one was Rome. But it's not just the Romans that did it, Pharaoh Akhenaten decided that Egypt should become monotheistic with Aten (basically an aspect of RA) becoming it's sole deity and so Atenism but Egypt wasn't centralied enough the priests had too much invested into the previous religons that after the Pharaoh died everyone reverted back and made gigantic efforts to censor it.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damnatio_memoriae#Ancient_EgyptThere can be plenty of gamely reasons to change a civ when an age shifts. The thing is that the people working in Civilization right now are not capable of producing these.Like the age counter could ticks and say your main enemy didn't conquer you lost the religous war to him. So he converted all the cities to say Islam. But your previous religion paganism was heavily focused on desert worship or something, so you had massive buffs from desert tiles. Now as the age ticks you become Islamic Egypt and suddenly you lose tons of production and faith. Sure you get all the Islamic bonuses but none of them relate to your economic play style but are all conquest oriented. So you say fuck it and decide to conquer the fucker that converted you. There can be plenty of reasons, but the uninterested people at Firaxis sure aren't going to theory craft them.
>>724381374>She was totally the coolest shit ever, you never heard about it because dem patriarchs are keepin' a sista downI genuinely want to know how they ever expect to gain any form of respect when they just play make-believe instead of bringing ANY form of evidence that would make people consider "yes, maybe this woman's role was downplayed"
>>724370568still getting around 10k players is pretty respectable for a low impact launch like civ 7
CIV 7 ENJOYERSI didn't try the game because of the Civ switch thing, is the game balanced around switching? How viable would staying with on Civ be?
>>724369740I hope this doesn't convince anyone to buy this woke trash.
Firaxis has to be completely out of touch with their target fanbase.Who would have thought that people that are into history don't like made up woke trash? They want actually important historical figures, not literal whos with a vagina.
>>724391892At this point, they're lucky to hit 10k on a weekend.
What are some fun scenarios that are busted in Civ 6? Like Maori (can traverse ocean) on island maps that gives you early boost to colonisation etc.?
>>724392687Meanwhile civ 6 currently has 33k people playing currently
>>724392687crashing this franchise...WITH NO SHURVIVORS
>>724378849got me kekking, funny
I’ve played every Civ game inc 7 and the best objectively is 4 (Beyond the Sword)2 is still a lot of fun and so is 3 but it’s a bit of an awkward middle between 2 and 3Freeciv is also pretty good. It’s kind of like Civ 2.5They really knocked it out of the park with 4 though, the artstyle, immersion, interactivity, music, and nimoy voiceover
>>7243933574 is mechanically the best but it's ruined by the completely incompetent AI
>>724393636At least it was extensively modifiable.
>>724392562Turns out history nerds and 4x fags DON’T like gay niggers
>>724371265>that womanIf you want muslim pirate why not add one of the ottoman vassal state ones ? Like just put the guy who taxed to USA if you want to be mega giga woke
>>724392998It should've been the esteemed Elijah Mohammad.
>>7243936364's AI is leagues ahead what came later because transitioning from doomstacks to 1UPT made AI chronically unable to win wars against human.
>>724373636It's the tranny dev equivalent of "my favorite band? You've never heard of them"
I would rather play civilization revolution than civ 7 in its current state. Hopefully like all the other games 7 will improve drastically after its first expansion comes out. Ill get it on sale, I got 6 at launch and regretted it
>>7243942541UPT was only really a problem with V, I feel by VI the AI got a hang of itCan't speak for VII as I've not even pirated it
>>724393953History nerds love that shit, or at least not the revisionist shit people looking to paint themselves as the historically best everything ever, but you can't decide Sacagawea was the leader of the Shoshone or some shit so you can meet a diversity quota.
>>724389848The funny part is the one redeeming factor of 7 is making the districts suck much less which is why the old 6 players are now jumping to 5 seeing they have worst of both worlds
>>724380910>talking about equity in regards to historiography if it wasn't written down or recorded in archaeological evidence then you don't fucking know what happenedspeculation is less than worthless, it muddies the water for future historians - though I guess that kind of revisionism is probably the goal anywaywho gives a shit about the truth, just make up whatever you want because reality is inconvenient
>>724392998DEY HEA
>>724392191The update to stop the age resets did not feel balanced at all, in fact it's just a toggle with no other changes afaik. So I highly doubt this will do anything except reintroduce the classic problem of early civs as being the absolute best. Perhaps worse now if they try to balance the game between can vs can't switching
>>724394658I like the district system in 6.
>>724373997Unrestricted leaders is an option, no mods needed
>>7243753522 was awesome and completely milked to death by Microprose.
>>724395489>it's just a togglegrim
