>>724408265Different stories in different context have different effects.Taste is not universal.I've got a better vibe with technology than I have with magic that's occasionally like tech. Also, I could smell the twist of Replicant miles away.I don't understand how people can consume so much entertainment and still not recognize obvious build up without even attempt to mislead.
>>724410315Be AI.Joke aside, learn foot bones and where they are flexible.
>>724411649>I don't understand how people can consume so much entertainment and still not recognize obvious build up without even attempt to mislead.Well, there were a lot of possible ways it could have gone. When I first played it I thought there some kind of time travel thing going on and the "villains" were paradoxical clones or something. Even once the game talks about Project Gestalt and the whole concept of splitting souls and bodies you don't know enough about how it works and what replicants are like to be able to conclude that you're an entirely different "person" after the prologueAnyways I didn't like Automata as much because its story didn't really have any kind of big conclusion like Replicant. It's all just kind of a clusterfuck and barely any of the things that get set up really become answered or end up being key parts of anything. The state of the world and the game's overall atmosphere is really compelling but I think the game itself as a story really missed the mark and it relies a lot more heavily on external story stuff than Replicant does
is this the vidya heels feet gooning thread
>>724407968>those are some aesthetic feetWay to prove your statement about not being a feet guy. That 4 toe monstrousity is not appealing at all.
>>724405371Foremost feet isn't even alligned with the shoe ffs, is this some ancient model or something? I thought AI had avdvanced enough not to make this kind of dumb mistakes.
>>724407789No way. There can be arguments had about if Automata and Replicant are better to but to outright state that Automata is "much better" is just wrong.Gameplay wise, sure, Automata feels more developed, Replicant is much more primitive. But from the narrative aspect, Replicant is more self contained and you can figure out everything from just playing the game, the plot of the characters ties in with the lore of the world. In Automata it gets convoluted as a result of bunch of things being set up but never getting the appropriate pay off if you don't have external knowledge, and some just have no pay off at all.I feel the characters of the Commander and Anemone were wasted, and ending C to me felt like a rehash of Replicant Ending E, but somehow a worse executionI love both games. But finishing Replicant I had a feeling of closure, even if bittersweet and uncertain about the future of the characters, while finishing Automata I felt left hanging. And the real, real ending being part of a concert that 180° what is shown?Obviously you understand that it's not going to be a good ending, and I get the artistic aspect of a multimedia work as well as the fact that being left hanging can be part of the artist's desired message, but it just annoyed me more than anything. If it's tragic, than show it, don't rug pull me with>oh, its a tragic ending>no wait, there is ho->nevermind, it's a tragedy through and throughAll I am asking would have been seeing 2B restart, see that 9S is not, picking him and and walking off saying that "everything will be fine, I'll fix you up"Great, Taro can then still put the final exclamation point inside his concert, while everyone playing game obviously understands that "it will not be fine"
>>724408265>knowing the whole idea behind the game was exploring how someone could do something so horrible but think it's the right thingKojima himself stated it directly too. To me Replicant's cast is vast superior compared to Automata's as well.

Oh yea, and those spooky loading screens, they pretty much give all the you need to put together the framework. But with Automata? Sure, figuring out that humanity is dead is not hard with the subtlety of hammer they go on about it, but I genuinely thought that the aliens were a psyop by YoHRa to perpetuate a forever war, but no, turns out they really were actual aliens that got jobbed out by machines. Having played Replicant, I thought I was being real slick when I noticed that machines look like baby shades, but no, that meant absolutely nothing beyond maybe on a symbolic level.

>>724414747We had a really nice one yesterday that was mostly actually talking about the games and lore. It's hard because if you don't start the thread with 2B ass nobody goes in the thread but if you go too hard with it then everyone's just gooning and nobody actually talks about the games. The aliens actually just being aliens that happened to show up and independently attacked earth and it not really meaning anything was the weirdest part of the story for me, the whole time I thought it was going to be a fabrication or lead into something but it just didn't. That's how I felt about a lot of the story, I thought so many things were going to tie into some grand conclusion but most of it is just shit happening because it happens. I get that the game is about nihilistic frustration and literal and/or metaphorical automata just endlessly churning on doing all they know but it felt kind of unsatisfying

>>724415253Damn, I missed the yesterday's thread then. There was Kaine thread, but everyone talked about you know what. Some anon I talked with in an earlier one also pointed how he felt fatigued by the constant red herrings the game kept throwing your way.I also respect the idea of driving home >war is horrible and pointless, there is no satisfaction is inthrough having player experience this frustration from the lack of satisfaction, but I really feel that Automata could have done so much and not lose out on the ultimate message.I though playing Replicant before full commiting to Automata will help me piece some things together, and it did, absolutely the right choice. But that also made even more things feel like subtle buildups that lead to nowhere. My biggest frustration is that after finishing all 5 routes and basically all quests I still have no idea who is actually in charge of the Android side.I thought it was YoHRa, but obviously not. Then I thought it was the administrators from the memory tree, but no, apparently the memory tree got gobbled up by the Machine Lifeforms to create their launch site and is the reason why they want to be human, so are the Red girls related to the administrators? No, doesn't seem like it.>>724415526Guess it's time to Legionmax I have no idea what the Legion is
>>724416028Shit, I should have clarified,When I saw >the big massive structure emerge at the start of Route C, I thought "aha, that is the Memory tree! things are starting to fall in place"And throughout the game, route B I think, >you can notice hologram of a girl showing up in some cutscenesSo I thought>This is it, it's the administrators, or its them having gone rogue, or something, yup, this makes senseTurns out that no, I things did not fall into place and I did not get it at all.
Is there a good coomer mod for 2b with high heels?
>>724416028>There was Kaine thread, but everyone talked about you know what. That's what I'm talking about, maybe it was more near the end but there was a lot of actual game discussion>My biggest frustration is that after finishing all 5 routes and basically all quests I still have no idea who is actually in charge of the Android side.I believe it's kind of implied that it is the memory tree stuff. The memory tree ended up on the moon and became the machine network so it adopted a lot of that stuff, I think the red girls are intended to be a continuation of the same entity. It's also likely that it still has ties to the Drakengard angry god shit, given the whole red eyes logic virus thing and Eve having a watcher symbol on his tattoos.I think yorha is actually kind of unrelated to all that though, from what I understand it's just the androids trying to bury the truth that humanity is extinct so they can churn on in ignorant bliss since it's all they know how to do.>>724416028>I have no idea what the Legion isWhen you get white chlorination syndrome, it's actually Drakengard's god infecting you via queen beast maso and giving you the option to either fight in its name or die. If you decline, you turn into salt; if you accept, you become a brainless red eyed soldier just like the ones in Drakengard. "Legion" refers to those. God wants to eradicate humanity no matter what universe it's in
>>724414870Yes, and?
>>724405371Disgusting "shoes"
>>724416602>I think yorha is actually kind of unrelated to all that thoughIn contrast to that though, the anime does actually pretty directly show that the machine network/red girls entity whatever it may be is actually pulling some strings with yorha, however the animu is functionally a different timeline so grain of salt
>>724412540Sauce?
>>724416602Wait, Memory Tree is on the moon? I thought it was just some server.I got the impression that the Machine Lifeforms were digging around and came up on it, integrated into their system, resulting in their drive for humanity. Pretty sure the game says this at some point. And I don't think that machines took over the server, they only got access to Bunker because of some schizo moment by one of the android prototypes who put in a backdoorYoRHa was related to the server on the moon, but the game kind of makes it seem like YoRHa are a big deal, holding the line, when turns out they are pretty much a blink and you miss it moment in the history of Android-Machine warfare. The idea isn't bad per say, fits the theme of "war bad" and "soldiers are disposable t. general", but you only get half the story in the game, the other half of YoRHa is I believe in the stage playwhat the fuck am I doing, getting invested into a setting helmed by a nigga that just wants to make gacha.
>>724415334women don't poop, are you crazy?
>>724417328I might be wrong about that, but I remember it being stated that the archives of humanity and replicant data and all that were moved to the moon when the aliens shit happened and the memory tree is established earlier as fitting the archive description exactly. I don't know if it was physically moved there or copied or what, but yeah>resulting in their drive for humanity. This actually comes from beepy, believe it or notCheck out the fire of promethius short story
>>724417610Im unsure how you could be attracted to women otherwise.
>>724417615I saw someone drop that bit of lore. The game I think implies that once Machine Lifeforms got access, that is where it came from, or so the androids believed.I don't remember if Pascal mentions the Machine God in the game or not.It really is a ball of yarn, this Automata lore.
automata was boring slop. only worth it for 2Bs ass
>>724417823Yeah it's a clusterfuck, I think the first game's story and the whole Project Gestalt thing is a lot more compelling and also all the important information isn't anywhere near as scattered across external media as Automata's story and world is
>>724405456>calculating how many gift cards he will scam grandmas out of
>>724417969It can be scattered, but what Taro should have done is include it at least partially in the game, bonus points if it is contradictory, so when it is time for a sequel, you just take all the competing narratives and dragonbreak that shit into the clusterfuck of all clusterfucks. Now I just feel like Automata is missing parts. The problem, I as I understand, is that if you watch the stage play, it spoils Automata pretty bad. I remember reading people saying that Replicant spoils some things, but I don't really think that is true. But if you play Automata and then read the stage play, it feels like information that should have been in the main game because without it it just doesn't click together right. Then there are the prequel novels about 9S and 2B prior to Automata, which you obviously can't do before the game, but it is pretty crucial if you really, really want to twist that knife in.Automata getting a Replicant style remake with new scenes and merging in the diverging Anime narratives could potentially ascent the story to an elevated level of kino, but I really don't want to wish upon this Monkey's Paw.Maybe it is best to leave it and go for hard for the third installment. I really hope Reincarnation isn't the third installment

>>724405371Anyone who sucked women’s toes before how was it?
>>724405371Nier automate is the only taro game worth playing. It's the only game that has taro and is an actual good game as well.
>>724418706>I remember reading people saying that Replicant spoils some thingsYeah, I don't think it does at all. The stuff that would be considered a "spoiler" from Replicant isn't directly revealed in the game itself the fact that humanity is doomed but even then, who knows, maybe some backup plan worked or something. How would we know what happened in like 10 thousand years?>Automata getting a Replicant style remake with new scenes and merging in the diverging Anime narratives could potentially ascent the story to an elevated level of kinoI would like to see this. When you know the full story Automata is good, but the game itself does not contain all the stuff to make it function. The reveal of what's going on with 2B at the very end just didn't hit since it happens so late and is given so little attention and you don't really have the backstory and context for it to sting like it should anyways. A2's story also needs to actually be in the fucking game. Do those and also rerecord 2B's English voice acting more like the anime where she's only a cold bitch where it makes sense and Automato would actually be some peak shit

>>724419058You're most likely a girl fetishist
>>724405371Good morning, sirs!
>>724419037Exactly, finishing Replicant, you get>They saved Nier, but the Gestalts are still out of control and the Factory has gone berserkNot looking good. And playing Automata you would think>Oh shit, is this the factory? It's gone crazy. But how are the aliens relevant to this? What happened to the shades/Gestalts? How did Replicants make it to the moon? What happened to the Memory Tree?We kind of already touched on some of these plot threads. But then you walk around the Bunker, listen to some of the Council of Humanity messages and might be able to pick up>Something is wrong, this Council of Humanity on the moon seems awfully convenient? And they only contact the Commander who is in charge of the War? Yea, I don't think Replicants made it to the moonWithout having played Replicant, you can still pick up on these clues, you just don't know what a Replicant is and don't have any context for the Machines being of human design. In fact, playing Replicant actually makes things more confusing because of the why did these machines side with the "aliens".I definitely will recommend people to play Replicant before Automata. However, I believe that dipping your toes a bit into the route A before you pick up the Emil's quest can actually help invest into Replicant in a way that starting it cold may not.Another thing that fucked me was doing Route E on Replicant and seeing the Administrators looking like 2B and 9S but kids, the YoHRa aesthetic out of nowhere, and I though "holy shit, this is big. This is huge. I can't wait for the pay off to this, this must be a crazy reveal in Automata"Talk about overhyping yourselfAnd honestly, after Replicant route E I was disappointed in Automata Route E, the SHMUP part was hype though.
>>724419058Same here.I think we find heels attractive because the woman is purposefully enduring something uncomfortable just so we want to fuck her harder.
>>724420414Replicant E came out after Automata. It's based on a short story from the time of the original game, but the route and its visuals are exclusive to the remake which was made after Automata
>>724420414>Machines being of human designI think I missed this part, where is this mentioned?
>>724421637I thought Route E was in the original Japanese version, but was not added to Gestalt for time constraint reasons.>>724421783It's not mentioned directly, but if you played Replicant, it is implied that the Factory you see building machines is the same factory from the Junk Heap, so you might thing they are just advanced models, or something. Especially when you compare their move sets.Looking similar to shades with those yellow eyes doesn't help
>>724422127>I thought Route E was in the original Japanese version, but was not added to Gestalt for time constraint reasons.Yeah naw, it existed as a Japanese-only short story but it wasn't a visual playable thing anywhere until the remake. All of the Automata visual similarities weren't described in the story, that's all new as an Automata callback. The events are the same as the story but the aesthetic details are pretty much all new>It's not mentioned directly, butOh yeah, you mean like it started out from the human-made robot factories. It's been iterated on so much through all the machine wars that I kind of forgot that link even existed, I wonder if it ultimately has any significance
>>724423150I see, that was a misunderstanding on my part for the Ending E. That kind of gives me hope for a potential Automata remake, even though I shouldn't be hoping for one, but c'mon, it is trendy nowadays and the 10 year anniversary is coming up, they have to be planning something. And yes, that was my point. With Replicant under your belt, you may be lead to search for some deeper connection, but there doesn't really seem to be one, other than the Beepy thing, but that one isn't in the game. The Facade thing too, a lot of the in your face references come from the Arena DLC, base game only has that one side quest which is blatant "This desert used to be Facade btw".How did you feel about the reveal that there were allegedly a bunch of villages with Devolas and Popolas overseeing the population?I honestly feel it made the setting weaker. Seafront implies commerce, but with that reveal you have to image the world being sequestered into some sort of zones.
>>724406338>Enjoy destroying your ankleswomen exist to seduce men, even at the expense of their own bodiesthis is why foot binding was a thing in China, better to make a girl permanently maim herself than to have a disadvantage at seduction
>>724424229>How did you feel aboutI don't think it implies the world is small or sequestered, there should be a replicant for every human in the world so there have to be absolute buttloads of them. It's just "villages" because the replicants gradually developed intelligence and sentience so their lifestyle is more akin to medieval shit.I think the reveal is weird though, I don't like something we know as characters to be just one of an insane amount of copies. I guess going off what we know from Automata they all probably kind of have their own personalities and stuff anyways, like how A2 and 2B are sorta the same "model" but they're totally distinct characters.
Oily feet with long nails wearing high heels sex
>>724424730I don't think they managed to get across how Androids work, exactly. Someone said that Drakengard 3 gets into it, but another anon said that not really. In Replicant they make Popola and Devola to be very important, and given that their village is the one with Nier and Yonah, I guess close proximity to Emil's facility as well, having access to Shadowlord's castle, they must be really integral to Project Gestalt. But Automata makes them feel like just another model doing a specific task, almost as if any one of the Twins could have fucked up the project, so were Replicant twins Popola and Devola Prime? It adds more confusion into the narrative.if it was something along the lines of >They tried to restore Devola and Popola to attempt to salvage project Gestalt, but they couldn't, so gave them false memorieswould have maybe worked better?Nothing in Replicant implies that Popola and Devola are just one set of Twins, but nothing in Automata implies that Popola and Devola have been given false memories.Back to Androids, YoHRa can do backups because of the Bunker system, and one would expect this to play a bigger role. (I guess it kind of does)I thought that meant we would meet the YoHRa that got blown up in the tutorial, but besides that one side quest, nothing.9S talks about how "Us 9S models do this and that" and he even gets recommended for additional production, but what does that mean?As in additional reserve bodies? Besides those 9S mentions, at no point does the game imply the existence of other instances of a 9S being active somewhere else. The only example might be 21O, who switched over to 21B and then was substituted by a new 21O with a different personality? And based on A2/2B, the number refers to the model as in looks wise, while the letter is a specialization, but that probably doesn't track.I understand some of these are answered in supplementary materials, but they really should have been lore dropped during the game.
>>724412118As surprising as Nier Automata was, I mean beside the both side leader are dead partReplicant was kind of obvious the second you see the shades that look like you, and thus is a different person than youI would say more but I have to go and the thread is almost dying

>>724440564Yeah. The effects of a +8 chip are fantastic, but between the fact that you have less space to put other chips and the effects being extremely marginal if it isn't a stat that you are particularly interested in, it's a curiosity that you only bother with if you are doing a challenge run.I've never managed to get one +8 chip the 5 or so times I've beat Automata. A pod-only run sounds fun, but I'm not skilled enough to do it. Are you just using Pod A or will you allow the laser and missile Pods for your run? Also, do you plan on doing the challenges in the DLC?
Does anyone have that webm of 2b falling down and spazzing out like one of those Unitree robots?

>>724405371i don't know why i saved these. women in heels look good, and the heels especially can be very appealing. i guess.
>>724466494>>724468294That's the entire point of high heels. In addition to making a woman's ass look bigger, it also makes her legs look longer , which the male brain associates with positive sexual traits. It's literally designed to give you boners at the sight of a woman's feet. You can't override millions of years of evolution that easily.Retards on this site act like certain fetishes relatively normal-ish fetishes like anything involving feet (so long as there isn't dirt or any gross fluid like blood, grime, etc associated with it) or recently ass (within reason. So no high-hop hoe's ass, which are genuinely grotesque or bitches with literally zero ass, which is sad) and then jerk off to fucking gay loli furry porn (or as of recently as well, the cocks of other men if they are white or black, depending on his politics which is funny as fuck when you think about it) as if that shit isn't degenerate as fuck. Frankly, it's not weird to get off to most parts of a woman's body. That's why they show them off in modeling shoots and why they flaunt it about ALL the time. The only part that truly would be weird would be getting off to a woman's internal organs or some shit like that. Something where it shows you have an unhealthy love for gore or something like that.4chan is a den of retards and vipers trying to groom normal enough people that can function outside into degenerate weirdos that have retarded axes to grind and a crippling porn addiction to boot. That's why you should take most things here with a grain of salt, lest you end up becoming a degenerate retard IRL.

>>724470203>You can't override millions of years of evolution that easily.that's why i dislike seeing feet malformed after extensive wearing of high heels
>>724472063bad deformation from high heels comes from improper sizing, enclosed toes, etc. high heels are shoes, and like any shoe need to be fitted properly or preferebly open-toe. none of the stupid omega pointed closed toe that retarded women wear
>>724464015Link?
>>724472261anything that makes your heel elevated all the time is causing to cause deformation. of course some will be worse than others but nothing with a high heel is going to be good for foot health.
>>724441817why does this game not have color? everything looks like the colors have been washed out. it doesnt have to look like a dreamcast game, but some color would be appreciated.
Great character design is when you can identify the character by their shoes alone.

>>724423150>It's been iterated on so much through all the machine wars that I kind of forgot that link even existed, I wonder if it ultimately has any significanceDon't remember where, as Yoko Taro drops lore on cereal boxes, but supposedly Machines got a hold of P-33 core and memories, thing that managed to create their consciousness and eventually kill their creators due to them being the reason behind their conflics and eternal war.So the machines themselves could've made their own designs based on human's, going from those memories.
>>724405456So?
>>724426262>And based on A2/2B, the number refers to the model as in looks wise, while the letter is a specialization, but that probably doesn't track. There's 21, or A21 on A2's backstory and she doesn't look like 21O at all either.
