It's one of the most consistent ritual decks in the game with several cards that search anything you need and some that search both monsters and ritual spells at the same time. Tributing opponent's monsters is one of the best forms of removal in the game and nouvelle's only real condition to do so is having the monster be in attack position. Has a lot of samey cards which means it can eat negates and still do basically the same thing it would have done before. It even has one of the best counter traps in the game, negate + destroy and then a gy effect that wipes all your opponent's monsters later.Right now the meta is especially bad for it but overall it's not the complete joke people act like it is.

People don't update their views based on how it is with the new support so they assume it's just as bad as ever. Same thing happened with Memento, nobody gave it a second look with the first wave of support which made it a fairly good deck, then nobody gave it a second look with the next wave which made it good enough to be brought to worlds which just left people confused with why the pros were playing it.Vaalmonica is another obvious example with people claiming the deck had no actual gameplan and was just an engine to special level 4s from your hand.
