4 niggas in a row is good. 3 is okay as well but can feel limiting. Any more than 4 just feels like a clusterfuck. Letting Xenoblade 3 have everyone at the field at the same time feels like it was a mistake.

I like five but it's very rare.
Four gives you more room for character variety.I always feel like 3 limits what you can do because you always need damage, healing and a tank.

4 is unironically the perfect party size. 3 is too personal. 5 is too impersonal, no one gets to shine. 4 offers the perfect blend of variety and character space.

I always end up wishing there was another party slot in three nigga games because there's always another character that I want to use. I never really feel that way about games with four party members, I guess I just always end up with four favourite characters in JRPGs..

I like 3 in front and 3 in back like old Wizardry games. The vanguard handles melee and tanking while the rearguard handles ranged attacks and support.
Just one.That's not me dropping a cool line, I actually strongly prefer single-adventurer games in general. Love the Legend of Zelda.
