They have the best gameplay, scenarios, character designs, extra modes, replayability, item management, and co-op. Anything before 4 is archaic dogshit where it takes 5 seconds just to pick up an herb or enter a new door. The gameplay is shit and essentially boils down to a pussy walking simulator where you run just run away from everything or try to do a heckin chungus challenge run with the knife, but even that is funner in 4 and 5. Anything after 5 is mobile shovelware like Revelations, dogshit walking simulators outlast clones like 7 and 8, or pozzed demakes of the shitty pre-RE4 games like REmake2/3/4.

Sure at first it seems like the "fluid" controls are better than the "icky yucky" tank controls, but then you actually decide to sprint and realise that you have absolutely no control of your character. The guns feel like paintball, and the zombies melting are just the cherry on top for the inmersion killing, fake gameplay.6 is so ass, man. I have a friend whom I finished the RE5 campaign as well as the RE6 ones that I asked to play RE5 mercenaries with me but he doesn't want to, arguing that 6's mercs are better. I've never tried it but I dont give a shit. I dont care if the maps are better or whatever shit 6's mercs has going over 5, it will not be worth dealing with 6's gameplay.
