I'm playing through this for the first time. I'm enjoying it a lot more than Super Metroid, which bored the fuck out of me. SOTN changed my mind about this genre before I gave up on it.

What with the confession box room? I went in and the ghostly priest blessed me, with no apparent effect on stats or gameplay. After dying and reloading, I went there again and this time the priest drew his curtain and set off a spike trap in my face.

>>724448101if you like leveling with somewhat quick payoff, just find a good spot to grind up your subweapons with a save point nearby and do that. some of the subweapons are nasty and if you max them out they become really satisfying to use (the shuriken comes to mind).
