I never forget I'm playing a game but Stalker, Alan Wake, Bioshock, Dead Space, Portal and Silent Hill are the most inmersive games I've played, mind you, I play with 5.1 speakers

I also felt like throwing rockets at planes passing by because I did that in San Andreas all the time.
I don't think I can ever be that immersed but I guess the closest recently is Arma Reforger playing the Kogulyev campaign and having an extremely tense situation during one of the missions where I was trying to steal a radio out of a truck but guards were everywhere and I had to sneak and be as careful as possible but after getting the radio I slipped and got made so bad to have a frantic fire fight and then run to get the fuck out of there. It was so exhilarating
