fighting games are dead as far as I'm concerned

I need the service to let me make a fucking account everytime I try it just hangs on the creation part.

Anon, keyboards are the exact same as hitboxes, and people use those

For me, it's the needlessly tight windows
>you need to press these 2 attack buttons on the same exact frame, and within 2 frames of your motion input or else you just explode
nah

favelacade
>>
>>724447524
that too, to ever get even remotely close to consistent doing motion inputs and pressing two buttons at once you've most likely burnt yourself out completely on ever playing the game again.
>>
>>724447207
hitboxes are primarily used in modern games. If you ask any fightcade player they'll tell you that you might as well just get a stick
>>
>>724447880
Anon, you can use a keyboard, hitbox, joystick, pad, whatthefuckever. The only roadblock is yourself you retard.
>>
>>724447880
you're just making shit up, tons play with pad and keyboard on fightcade
>>
>>724448075
the game will not let me do the move if there isn't a whole second where the game registers a diagonal input
>>
I have no problem playing on keyboard.
>>
>>724448203
...so? You can still do diagonal guile charges on a fucking keyboard you shitter

why would i want to only play sf2
>>
>>724449312
Play whatever you want anon, the guile comment was only an example. Surely you knew this....
>>
>>724449378
i literally can't because of how pedantic every game is about diagonals. i have to make sure i have to press down on both keys for half a second bare minimum which is extremely slow compared to people who is able to do whatever move they need on reaction.
>>
>>724448484
atleast you can play the game
>>
>>724448218
how do you do diagonals, it's completely random if it sees diagonals
>>
>>724450505
nta but make sure you can press all the keys you need to at once, shitty keyboards have rollover issues sometimes
https://www.mechanical-keyboard.org/key-rollover-test/
other than that just slow down and focus on making your fingers rolling across the keys smooth and clean. If you're doing a 41236 for example you press a, then s, then release a, then press d, then release S, then press the attack button.
>>
>>724449582
You're using a shit keyboard, see >>724450870
>>
i'm using my phone internet as hotspot for my pc and the ports are blocked, apparently i need to use a vpn but that'd just add input lag, or is there a better workaround?

Isn't going slower counter intuitive to what I'm supposed to achieve? If my opponent whiffs and i have an opportunity to attack i need to be quick to strike

>>
>>724451304
You need more control of your inputs, that is to say practice. Do it slow and get it mastered and speed up from there, since you're obviously mashing shit presently.
>>
>>724451427
what's the fucking difference between me doing it fast vs slow. I'm hitting the buttons in the same order
>>
>>724451648
You're obviously not, you just think you are
>>
>>724451671
>You didn't hit the buttons in exact frame perfect order so it doesn't count

>>724451873
If thats how you want to fell about it, thats on you anon, whatever pathetic cope you need.

test the specific combinations too
and yeah your problem is you're rushing and mushing the inputs together, speed is much less important than accuracy and only even matters at all in specific situations that you shouldn't really be worrying about yet.

>>724451648
you're not, or rather you're not doing it cleanly. The parts where multiple keys are held at once are just as important as just hitting the keys in the first place, because that is what the diagonals are.
I don't know what specific SOCD cleaning fightcade does so your exact input problem could be a couple different things, but if you're being clean it doesn't matter because it will just send exactly what you want anyway. A half circle is a half circle and if you send the game a clean [a][s]]a[[d]]s[ it will read 41236 every time

>>724451873
it's only frame perfect if you insist on doing the motion one direction per frame, i.e. literally as fast as the game will allow you
which is why you should slow down and make sure you're actually doing the fucking input before trying to go fast
>>
>>724452134
basically just spend long tedious time in training mode to force my brain to do motion inputs sub-optimally while everyone else can do it 5x faster than what the game will allow me to do
>>
>>724453189
yes, although its better to practice in matches once you are at all familiar with the motion
this is how literally every skill works. You learn to play a song by practicing the notes slowly, and then when you stop fucking it up slowly you play it a little faster, and when you stop fucking it up at that speed you go a little faster, until you're at full speed

But really, just doing the fucking inputs is not the hard part of fighting games. You're in the part of the learning process where you're still trying to learn where to put your fingers to play chords. Making a G chord quickly is useful when you want to play a song at full speed but you don't learn by sitting and flailing your hand at the guitar neck in a rough approximation of the chord over and over and getting mad that it sounds like shit, and making the chord shape is only a small part of playing a whole song.
>>
>>724447121
So buy a stick?
And for the record you can do them on keyboard.
>>
>>724451304
>Isn't going slower counter intuitive to what I'm supposed to achieve?
It is very very easy to input things literally too fast and not hit all inputs on separate frames.
Slowing down still leaves keyboard as faster than stick.
>If my opponent whiffs and i have an opportunity to attack i need to be quick to strike
You don't whiff punish with a motion input, regardless of controller.
>>
Incredible, an entire thread about self-reporting shitters
>>
>>724453189
It still requires practice to get motion inputs down on stick, and stick WILL be slower than a proficient keyboard player.
>>
>>724453559
>So buy a stick?
make a stick. buy a shell and buy the lever and buttons you want
>>
>>724453449
again i have to make sure i hold and wait have a second to make sure the game is happy and reads it as a diagonal while stick users is able to flick it in a quarter or half circle motion and the game reads it almost instantly. the arcade games were made for stick so they work best on stick
>>
>>724455028
>have a second
1/60th of a second
you just need to not mash all the keys at once, which is easy if you slow down a tiny bit
a shitload of people play on keyboard and have no significant problems, hitbox is the same shit and it's one of the most common modern input methods
you can buy a stick if you want but it is probably not going to actually fix your issues, you'll just find new things to fuck up like overshooting or snapback because rushing and messy inputs are always going to be a problem
>>
Why do people on /v/ spend so much time making excuses?
>>
play me in ST or 3S right NOW!

Fighting games are hard and my ego is fat as fuck
