What's this one about?

I unlocked the mad scientist in Monster Train 2 and beat Slay the Spire (once) so I'm an expert on this genre now.

You got three creatures on the board (bottom row) and need to defeat enemies on the top row. You can either kill or try to tame the enemy creatures, and taming them is the the primary way of getting new cards in your deck. If a creature dies it is permanent, you also lose that card. Runs are short (8 battles) but hard, it is a game of trying to get overpowered quickly to counter the bullshit of escalating enemies, and it has a lot of depth and variety packed in those short runs.

You can't unlock better cards? That sounds like horrid RNG.

You can always pick a battle from few options and see what enemies you are going to be up against and what rewards you are going to get. Once you get a grip of the game, synergies and how upgrade rewards can improve the creatures, it is rare to get in completely unwinnable seeds, though like in all roguelikes, you can of course get fucked by misguided build choices. Deck RNG isn't really as big deal as in some other games, because decks usually stay relatively small. It has a demo on Steam.

Fair. Seems really basic for a card game though. 3 cards is nothing.

Eh, I think it works better than it may sound. You can try the demo without wasting money if you aren't afraid of wasting time, it has limited content and variety but gives a good impression of full game.

I beat Monster Train 2. I found out there's a retry battle option on the pause screen lol. It's just like StS where you have to stack valor for +1 damage. Seems there's 6 ascension ranks for each 5 clans?

Too short, refunding.

Nigga got tricked into buying a card game with 3 cards

I thought it'd be fun but I beat it on my second run completely blind and only half-trying. This game would be better with like 98x more content than what it has now and not a single multiplier less.
