I tried the demo and was moderately interested, but the after-demo bit, where it gives you access to all the styles was horrifically unbalanced, and everything I saw of the full release showed that titan was just busted throughout everything but the sections where you're forced to use anything else. Just like FF13, you COULD do cool stance breaking and style swaps and combos, but there was no point, you got nothing from it, enemies died so fast you couldn't do it unless you forcibly juggled them to do it.It was just not fun or worthwhile to engage with at all.The story was really boring too.
It was epic and exciting A solid 8/10 game

It fails entirely as a JRPGOn the flip side the Combat itself is very stale being built around spamming Eikon abilities and using a 2 second dodge window to avoid any and all incoming damage, while also having a .5 second parry window, even on the NG+ 'hard mode' its more basic and stale than playing DMC5 on Human modeThere is also way too many cutscenes and talking especially in the early game, and you're still getting tutorial pop ups even 20 hours in.However the boss fights when you actually get to them are awesome and fun, and the music is amazing, so just like FFXIV 99% of the game is shit, but that 1% is so good it makes the game decent, however FFXVI falls off a cliff in terms of vibes even during boss fights after Titan, Odin was lame and Ultima was the worst esoteric 'kill god' villian of any Final Fantasy to date.
