>4 games set in the botw era Hyrule with the same Link, same Zelda, and same bokoblins, moblins, and lizalfos>In the last 14 years after Skyward Sword, these are the only 3D Zelda games we've had grim
If they hadn't spent the same 14 years remaking/remastering every 3D Zelda that came before then maybe there would be something to look forward to in this franchise.
Excuse me but Hyrule warriors does not count as Zelda games.
>>724452159I was the biggest Zelda fanboy you'd ever know. But TotK really made me truly despair for the IP's future. Something tells me they will not stop with the open world shit. It just made too much money. The thing is, if they could at least balance it more. Have an open world like Ocarina or Wind Waker but richer + some iconic dungeons. How is this so hard to grasp?
>>724452947>an open world like Ocarina or Wind WakerThose aren't open world, boomer
>>724452947>How is this so hard to grasp?Unique content takes time and effort to develop, which is the antithesis of BOTW's reuse-focused philosophy.
Oh no the classic Zelda series might be over, and with only 8 whole mainline games and 7 handheld games! As we all know 15 games is an extremely low number for a classic game series, any good franchise gets a lot more. Who doesn't have fond memories of God Hand 17 or Planescape Torment 21?
>>724453351I'd be with you on that if there wasn't just an extreme drought on any game that does anything remotely Zelda like just in general, let alone to the quality and satisfaction of the series.Games like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy? Thousands.Games like Super Metroid and Castlevania? They named a whole fucking genre after the copy-cats.Games like Zelda? Maybe 3, arguably 10 if you really stretch the definition. -8000 if the retard making the game thinks of Zelda as an "RPG" and makes it with levels and shit.We got fucking nothing.
>>724452159mind broken
>>724452159I liked Breath and Tears but I did 100%'d them and it burned me out
>>724452159imagine being someone that didn't like skyward sword, or the botw games. that person probably has fallen out of zelda entirely.
>>724452159Anon, bad news for you, there's no turning back. Zelda is now this. The IP is this universe. There's no turning back. Just as Mario never changes, this new form of Zelda and Link is forever.
