I don't know I think you could argue any AAA stuff was still made with passion and care even if there was predatory shit emerging. Remember when you got a code to play online and if you bought the game used it cost an extra 10 dollars?
Anyway here's a good game

gen 7 wasnt as good as gen 6, games no longer were magical experiences full of wonder and joy and I will never forgive gen 7 for this
if gen 6 was a bunch of 6 games with 10s sprinkled in then gen 7 was a bunch of 3s with 9s sprinkled in.
transformers duology alone make this gen worth it.

then we got games like blood money, dark souls army of two, alan wake, sleeping dogs and lots of other memorable or experimental games that make that gen not a total blunder
