The map I made for my autistic scifi project probably needs to be remade to make it easier to read and less cluttered with skyrim tier map marker bloat. The setting itself is supposed to be on Earth, just tens of thousands of years in the future so obviously the geography wouldn't change much beyond rising sea levels.

This is because beyond a set distance from the City (defined by the strenght of the barrier field generated by the City's spires) life becomes impossible as beyond the effective range of the barrier field, lifeforms basically succumb to something akin to extreme radiation sickness (their DNA breaks apart) for reasons tied to the "magic system" of my setting.The City is made out of flesh and organic material because it started out as a sort of preserve for various biospheres etc where humanity tried to preserve and recreate Earth's lost biomes before the cataclysm that rendered the world uninhabitable hit. Organic material and biomass became the most abundant and easily replenishable raw resource within the City as it was rendered the last refuge for life on the planet, where inorganic materials, like metals and what not could be reserved for stuff where they were absolutely needed, putting humanity donw a path of increased usage and dependency on biological engineering. It also helped that the "magic" system of the setting itself is inherently sort of tied to living things, creating a sort of path dependency. (The out of universe reason is that I just find biotech impossibly cool.)
