Things just got worse. I went over to 10 relatively late. Three years later I got told that it's going to be made obsolete. 11 sounds like a privacy nightmare with all the forced telemetry and now AI being shoved through the users' throat. That's not gonna fly.

Linux is a crutch strapped to an engine block, an engine block strapped to a crutch, it is to systems what current day milsims are to the strategy genre.
No matter how many superstructures are built on it, Linux's messy nature can be intuitively recognized even in Android out of all places.
Windows may be proprietary up its own ass (not even a problem, really, unlike spying), and have all sorts of issues even before 2000s, but it is at least somewhat designed for humans. Even though it only barely approximates a full "out of the box" solution, its standardization is humane. It's an actual OS.
Linux is a glorified toy for computationally disenfranchised vagrants who have nothing better to do than to engage in explicitly useless and non-innovative programming exercises, like an orchestra that makes music only rarely and mostly incidentally, because at least someone had thought to make instruments.

Also mint makes changes without your permission like updating the theme colors of the desktop when you don't want them to or using nemo file manager which is the slowest file manager on linux, even slower than nautilus despite it being a fork I think, it takes like a solid .5 second to load a folder in nemo.
