Watching other people play videos games being so accessible and abundant has killed the mystery and discovery of video games. Someone's video of them playing 18 hours of a game and their tips and conclusions before it launched is always a click away. It's not like the old days where you just had game reviews in magazines that were purposefully not completely spoiling the game. Not to mention the fact that there was no video of their gameplay. The video of gameplay, being exposed to the game like that to such an extent, removes meaningful and memorable aspects of playing a game for the first time. The unfamiliarity, the alienness. Nothing is new anymore. Games where everyone experiences the content at the same time is a rarity in this day and age.

Just don't watch them, retard.

You could just not watch it

only children watch other people play video games, OP
you don't have to be like them, just play them like I do and look stuff up if you need to now and then depending on the game
>>
Play the game first and then "join the community". All it takes is a bare minimum of self control.

Your post didn't require the effort of me typing something well thought-out. What do you want from me? You want a hug faggot? Try a shotgun instead.

anyways usually if a game I want to play just came out, I'd not even click on any of the threads on /v/ or join in any discussion of it whatsoever until I play or beat the game
This heavily skews metrics on /v/ so when people are like
>game just came out
>nobody talking about it must be no one cares
Well yeah, it's because I'm PLAYING the game before talking about it
People who post that kind of shit are objectively wrong

Anyone who measures a game by the amount of posts here is a gigantic retard.

I tell you frog man. One thing I realized is that not all challenges have to be taken on by you. I spent years watching them playing the most time consuming hardcore games. Hundreds of hours learning rust and Tarkov. Thousands of hours in wow, RuneScape, ff14. And at the end what I've learned is it's so much more satisfying to watch someone else grind or do the self imposed challenge. It's much more fun to watch play when what you like is life stealing grindslop.

You are an oversocialized NPC. Try developing your own thoughts that aren't influenced by others.

The internet moving from text based to video based was a mistake. I still buy Edge sometimes but they can't keep up with current online discussion.
>>
>>724556181
Just ignore or filter any discussion about those games until you’ve beat them. That’s all it takes.
>>
>>724561731
It's impossible for /v/ to do this. My guess is because they're subhumans.
