>do the good boy ending
>get incinerated without a word of thanks
>the good boys are not actually good, they are just larpers
Thanks, i guess. Got this game on a sale and i loved the fact that you can larp as an autistic half/undead paladin. The autistic maze world design was good as well. I wish it was harder, no boss gave me a hard time. What is your opinion on it, /v/? Any fun builds for a second playthrough?

I skimmed over this thinking it was Dark Souls. Oh well, I'll rescue your thread from the deep, even though I've never played LotF. What was it like? Is it any good? No one I know talks about it, I'm curious
>>
>>724558264
it has had a gazillion updates since launch with the latest being like last month so it'll be hell of a lot better than it was at launch, but i loved it at launch anyway
its very much focused on exploration with many of the bosses being mere gimmicks, exploration is usually a thousand times more difficult than boss fights so the new souls audience wont like that. non-linear with interconnected world, not as good as ds1 but also doesnt fall apart like ds1
the gimmick of the game is if you die, you respawn in the same location in a different dimension with different enemies and different paths. dying there again is sends you back to the bonfire
>>
I remember a holy laser beam spell being really good, and there being two separate fire related debuffs that were great, and that the spells for the third magic school were really disappointing. Hated the Light ending, liked the other two.
>>
>>724556428
>no boss gave me a hard time
The giant baby was pretty annoying.
>>
>>724558264
It has good world design and the artwork is stellar imo. However, it is quite easy. Bosses are a bit of a pushover, idk about new game cycles. Animations are crisp and hitboxes are also good (aside from a few enemy grab attacks. There are three endings one of which requires a fucking harvard guide because there are many steps you can miss and missing just one locks you out. You can make your own bonfires but the item to do so is too plentiful. However, you can set the game to have less potential bonfire location to make your journey harder. Magic is pretty basic. Overall id say its a way easier soulslike than lies of pi, but with better world design and art direction.

>There are three endings
I'm at the gates of Bramis Castle which is where you have to make the final ending decision. I don't want to have to play through the game three times, how do I backup and substitute saves on Xbox?
>>
>>724556428
I enjoyed most of my time playing it. Not really interested in the shadow realm world mechanic they tried, but I respect the effort.
I played a bonk spec because it felt wonky the way I could use spells with a keyboard.
>>
>>724559117
The umbral ending requires a lot of pre planning so i think you need to start over. As for the other two, if you purified any beacons im afraid you will need a third playthrough
>>
>>724558562
I realized on my second playthrough that i missed a lot of stuff (including several estus upgrades) by avoiding the umbral realm as much as possible. So if youre new to the game, don’t hesitate to use the lamp and stay in the umbral, especially if you see water, destroyed bridges, etc. You will find more shit and more paths, and the enemies aren’t that hard to deal with
>>
I am so glad my first playthrough of this game was on release because the absolute fucktard devs bent over to the tourists and turned it just another uninspired dogshit souls clone. it's so disheartening seeing the devs' original vision being chopped down in the name of redditors and QOL
>>
>>724559664
there is literally an option to turn on the original monster density
>>
>>724558919
This. I don't even know why. It wasn't that hard in hindsight.
>>
>>724559808
>turn it on
>flying insect umbral enemy awakes 10 more flying insect umbral enemies
>each of them spawns 2 eggs and 20 zombies hatch
I get it that umbral is supposed to be terrifying, but i dont see any way to deal with that in the early game. This happened in the beginning of the game
>>
>>724560245
you don't have to kill every enemy and it's especially true in umbral
>>
>>724559340
I haven't purified any beacons, and I'm set up at the point where I can achieve any of the three endings. I'm at the decision point, and my decision is to ask 4chan how to replace my saves so I can get all three endings without playing through three times.

Is it a different game to the original one?
Kinda confused here because both are named 'Lords of the Fallen'.
Is it a remake or remaster?

I really love this game. I feel like nu-Lords of the Fallen is a true spiritual successor to Dark Souls. The tight interconnectivity of the world is something that Elden Ring lost in the process of going open world. Not to say I dislike Elden Ring because of that or anything, but the Dark Souls world design is something that I greatly prefer. My best friend streamed a portion of this game to me and I really loved the way the Spurned Progeny boss looked. Because I expressed a tiny bit of interest he randomly bought me the game a few days later. I ended up really loving the game all around. The boss fights and designs are really awesome. I went full holy warrior, running around with 2 pieta swords with constant lightning enchantment on them. It's a really beautiful game and it means so much to me that my best friend bought for me and we played it through together, especially during a time when my life was pretty much rock bottom. Lords of the Fallen 2 would have been a day 1 buy, but of course it's Epic exclusive.
>>
>>724564323
The new one is "THE Lords of the Fallen" and is a prequel I believe.
>>
i hopped online when i bought this and some dude speed ran me through the whole thing in like 15 mins before i even figured out that's what was going on. Now I never want to play it again.

Why not do one ending and watch the other 2?
They're not that impressive anyway.

Umbral Spells are based. You can get some absurdly high DPS with them.

Lords of the Fallen 1 (2013)
Lords of the Fallen 1 (2) (2023) is a sequel/reboot
Lords of the Fallen 2 (3) (2026) is a direct sequel to the previous
>>
Love this game, but they made it too easy. It was better in 1.6
>>
played for like 20 minutes but its very clearly made by people who idolize skyrim and think people care enough about their nothingburger writing to do the same gameplay loop bethesda exhausted a decade ago

>inferno ending
Adyr comes back and punishes everyone for abandoning him in favor of Orius

this game fucking sucks
>they nered eney density
>they nerefed all the bosses
>they had actual good levels and an interesting ng+ mechanic where you had limited bonifres that worked because the world is interconnected and they moved it to a fucking modifier
>they disabled invasions by default so the playerbase is even more splitted
and now the sequel is an epic exclusive god i can't wait to see how much it'll flop
>>
>>724571386
well it seems like you dont want to actually play the game. so why not just watch it anyway?

I really enjoyed it. The game is very different after 2.0, so the bosses are much easier now. I think they also introduced summons. The enemies lacked variety and some are very annoying, but I think some of these enemies are so much more interesting than other games in the genre.
I loved the level design, how it all looped in on itself and i don't think many players will appreciate it until they play it without all those vestiges. The umbral world is such a fantastic concept, but I found it a bit boring since the majority of the time you'll be popping in only for a bit and then have to pop out. Also some bullshit moments like the fucking gargoyles. The reasons to do so, like being able to heal yourself without using consumables or to increase the amount of Vigor, didn't justify the annoyance of the Red Reaper in my opinion. Such a boring and tedious enemy, especially in the beginning. But it looked fantastic and I loved seeing in the distance all these massive figures looming over or reaching toward something, and having a bit of terrain traversal was neat as well.
Loved the aesthetics of the game too, the whole blood and thorn was kino for me. And I think they did a good job of blending in the two "factions" with each other.
A lot of little things I liked about it, like just having the stats to hold a weapon let you dual wield them and every weapon can be dual-wielded. Able to switch mid-swing from one-handed to two-handed. Changing colour on armour for blending sets. The stats were more streamlined. Able to fight bosses again straight from the vestige. Throwables replenished after resting at a Vestige and can also use an item to get them back and not having to buy hundreds of arrows at a time. Parrying is the same button as blocking, it's just dependent on timing. Some other things, too. I'd give it a 7.5/10.

>>724571759
Why not just use the modifiers? They're available from the get-go.
>>
Honestly liked it for what it was. But I remember stopping around this weird place where I fight some angel bitch and the other route is some fire faggots

>>
>>724572612
i played Surge 2 not too long ago, and it just didn't grab me. i didn't like the targeting system, it was very finnicky. trying to get for a specific leg or trying to target the body was me walking backwards in circles until it finally snapped to the right spot. if it was just Legs and not Left Leg/Right Leg would've made it better. Most the armor buffs didn't seem thatuseful or worth a damn, and the look of the armour wasn't all that interesting either. But i didn't get very far, I explored all there was to up to the party up in a tower. The camera was such a fucking nuisance too. I didn't hate it, just didnt keep my interest I guess
>>
I really liked Surge 2, spotting a piece of armor and weapon and just ripping it off them was so cool.

For me, it's the Judge Cleric's Corrupted Sword

cool weapon too, too bad it has shit rune slots

The giant frost greatsword having a single frost rune slot kills me

this game has better level design and world design than dark souls 1

There's supposed to be a gameplay trailer soon...
