Are charge skills (phys/magic) over powered in this game? I have a tendency to lower spi, raise magic, and use the skill, and I end up oneshotting a lot of bosses so far on hard, and I'm only slightly higher leveled (3 levels or so) than bosses because of my need to scan megas/ultimates early.I began questioning this since I basically nuked the 2nd titanmon fight twice, causing cutscenes to play back to back, or break sequence. Although I'll admit getting my front wiped immediately by the time attack immediately caught me completely off guard. But then I basically nuked Ranamon in one hit, and then Calamarmon went down in 2 hits with the same strategy. Sure I had to change things up with Skullseadramon, but I used a physical charge attack instead.I'm playing on hard, for reference.

I was unlocking the field guide with my mains and the leveled ones from the box. But once they reached max level and didn't met any digivolution criteria I loaded some of them to my mains, and de digivolved some if they had a nice digivolution branch. At agent level 5 doing all the side missions I had about 70 mons. And you see screencaps of agent lvl3s with 100-200s Digimons in the box and absurd stats and they say that's just from a regular playthrough...and I call bullshit. There's nothing wrong with you grinding to brute force the game but it's not the intended way for sure and it dilutes the experience. >>724672881>>724672935That fight is against a level 40 boss and being level 30 at that point needs a decent amount of grinding, albeit not ridiculous amounts unless you're 35 or more. I'd say the average level you'll encounter him at is around 20, my highest was 28 and I did a fair bit of grindan to speed to Ultimates. That's on top of his higher stats than you and masses of buffs as well. There's not really any way you'd be oneshotting him without either grinding much more than stated or grinding to get some meta build, though I could believe it's possible.

The Agent Skills are designed to keep up your progress passively, so you can just play straight through without stopping much. As a result grindan is really only for the few endgame quests and Mega+ difficulty, doing it in the first playthrough will mess the balance up.
