I Consider the X series to essentially be the DBZ to Mega Man's Dragon ball. They're almost perfect action games and they will probably never be topped. About to start X1 again

X1, X2 and X4 are great. X3 is okay. X5 is mediocre. X6 is awful, X7 is a crime against humanity and X8 is mediocre.Such a troubled series. And it's not like you can ignore the bad ones because it was meant to end with X5 and then they retconned it.I've played all X games and never want to replay X5-X8.Zero is a much better series. All 4 games are amazing and it's fun from start to finish.

Nowadays when I replay the X series it's X1 air dash patch (includes dashing in the intro), X2 and X3 on the GC X collection (I need the better OST and cutscenes, even if the sfx are whack), X4 and X6 on the XLC. X5 with the improvement patch finally made it an enjoyable game, I love the gaea armor now. Never feel the urge to replay the other games. X6 is overhated, people claim it is difficult, yet if you equip the D-barrief part, even armorless buster only xtreme is a breeze. People whining about it really shows how terrible they are at video games.
