Or stab it into an enemy to hold it in place.Psychopomp's original gameplay was most sophisticated around enemy attack patterns, like that guy with the flamethrowers- enemies whose rhythms you need to figure out. It isn't very good at it, I'll say, that enemy that conjures a circle of energy that pratically instakills you is pretty shitty since there's zero time to learn, but it's a place they focus on. I imagine that if they want to make Mercury different from Venus, he needs to be sneakier- something that rewards you for attacking from the back? Venus is very physically powerful, her enemies explode into gibs, she busts down walls and smashes everything her way until she finds her answers. She's a loose cannon, but Mercury is a weapon held by the Family. He is more precise- he could throw his nail and be given more of them with special abilities by his employers. A nail that deals DoT damage while the enemy has it in the body, a nail that you're supposed to hurl like a spear, a nail that you stab into a surface and then it explodes with a delay

Psychopomp Gold was the most boring fucking game i've ever played.
