This almost makes the Jenova Project so insanely evil when you think about it. The Jenova Project was intended to produce a child with the same powers as the Cetra. And Shinra was hoping this child would hear the voices of the planet, so he could point the way to The Promised Land, so they could put a Reactor on top of it and have infinite money. Now what they got instead was Sephiroth but imagine if the Jenova Project worked. Imagine reading the Bible and reaching the scriptures that describe heaven. Eternal happiness. Streets made of gold. But rather than take that as a promise of a comforting afterlife to inspire you to live a life of consecration and holiness, instead you try to clone Jesus. You search the tomb to find a hair so you can produce a child with the same divine powers. So you can send the army to heaven to harvest the gold. I figure this text is more Nojima than anything else (since he is responsible for the actual dialog), so perhaps Kitase and Nomura have/had different ideas.

And for the record, I hold a LOT of criticisms for Remake and Rebirth. However the overworld was not one of them. The overworld consistently looks good and there are shockingly few comprises. My jaw dropped and a lot of good will was restored when I saw that Tiny Bronco actually works. Just to test it I took it from Cosmo Canyon, through the Western Continent past Gold Saucer, to the other side of the continent. That gives me a lot of hope that the Highwind will function properly in part 3

There will be more time shenanigans, and with the guy coming out and saying DLC and more games are possible it opens more possibilities. It'll most likely lead into a new Advent Children scenario or Cloud will be killed off with a sacrifice. I just hope it has the same weight as the OG. The last hour or so (depending on how fast you move and strong you are) is possibly the best time frame in gaming history in my opinion. I'm still mad that they made the credits end in the remaster they released instead of it never ending and hope Part 3 makes you quit out of the game or turn it off after the credits roll.
