I'm 5 hours in and so far the gameplay feels like a dumbed down version of GV3. I hate how quickly you run out of teleports, and that you only recharge one gauge while the rest go to melee attacks. I get that this is their solution to make melee attack useful than it was in GV3, but it just makes the game more annoying. I'd much rather be zapping everything from a distance like I could with Kirin.It's also annoying how they lock double jump behind Astral Mode. I feel like I've lost a lot of mobility because of it. I'm already missing GV3.
