Dead Space fans are burning in hell and they deserve it. I've liked Dead Space 1, 2, 3 and Dead Space: Extraction but still wouldn't consider myself a hardcore fan of the franchise. Not buying Dead Space 3 when you retards could've kept the franchise going is the biggest L of all time and I hope you retards continue to suffer with not having more Dead Space and being boomer tier "remember the time" losers

You didn't buy Dead Space 3 and killed the franchise you supposedly like, but hey, you get to act like smug faggots about your dead franchise.

And reminder that the Dead Space remake sold less than Calisto Protocol and there will be no Dead Space 2 remake you pathetic friendless RE4fags.

>Not buying Dead Space 3 when you retards could've kept the franchise going is
if a game series continuation is contingent upon the sales of a bad game then the game series is being managed poorly and absolutely none of the fault is on the shoulders of the consumers
>>
>>724616281
But then they remade Dead Space 1, a supposed good entry, and it sold poorly. It is in fact on the consumers.
>>
I'm not buying a shit game just for the hope the next game will be good.
>>
>>724616039
>The series came to a natural end?? Noooooo it MUST continue, this is NOT okay
>>
>>724616338
>and it sold poorly
Because outside of the graphical lift it is completely unnecessary to remake Dead Space 1 and the only gameplay improvement it could have remotely needed is DS2/3 zero-g and Kinesis. Things you could have just backported to DS1. It is also a worse version of DS1 across the board.
>>
>>724616338
remakes almost universally sell worse than the original, especially in cases where the original is still perfectly playable on the platform where the remake is being sold, even if the original game is beloved

>>724616039
>if you don't buy this pure dogshit from EA, then you killed the franchise, not EA expecting CoD numbers!
What are you an EA employee or something?
DS2 and DS3 are slop.
>>
I bought 3 remake is still gayer
>>
>>724616039
>erm actually not supporting EA in the raping of the franchise makes you a fake fan
all fields
>>
>"RE4fags" from nowhere
>>
>>724616039
But the franchise ended it,it doesn't need to come back, the ending was pretty straight forward on the dlc the moon won and humanity just became another species assimilated by the moons
>>
>>724616039
I don't understand why fans can never just let something good die and continually need a company to milk a series' dried out corpse forever and ever pumping out complete garbage long after any good entries it had. Dead Space 1 and 2 were great. 3 was okay-ish. Do you really need Dead Space 4-8 that would have gotten progressively shittier?
>>
>>724616039
Clap your hands in between your words and maybe then I will pay attention to what you wrote
>>

>Dead Space 4
this, after 3 there was no way to continue the story there is no realistic and convincing way issac or anyone could defeat the moons

Assuming this isn't bait, you couldn't be anymore wrong. Dead Space is a perfect example of a mismanaged series and unrealistic expectations from the publisher.
All dead space games were commercial successes in everyone's eyes but EA's as they constantly used games like EA sports or battlefield as their metric of success which is ridiculous.
Dead Space 1 sold 2 million copies which in 2008 was an amazing achievement especially for a single player horror game. Despite that EA considered it a failure. Dead space 2 was similar in that despite doubling the sales with 4 million copies sold, showing that IP is growing. Again, EA considered it a failure even though it sold more and was also critically praised. Dead space 3 did sell less than two but still sold more than 1. This wasn't unwarranted as the game was a giant tonal shift more so than even 2 was to 1. The game was a mess in terms of mechanics and story. It also was full of live service systems and other such micro transactions that ruined the game. As a consumer it is right to not support a product/company when you feel that they're not serving your interests and fans showed that. Despite the game still selling over 3 million copies which would still be considered a success commercially, EA once again decided that the game was a failure. Instead of learning what went wrong they simply shafted the dev team to make a throwaway battlefield game before closing the studio.
Even the remake (in my opinion it was rather redundant and didn't really offer much over the original.), was considered a failure despite selling 2-3 million copies which isn't bad for a game that released around the same time as RE4 remake. The series was doomed from the start since EA never actually cared about it. Dead Space fans are the last people to criticize in regards to what happened to the IP.

>here is no realistic and convincing way issac or anyone could defeat the moons
There is, particularly if we take the "It has to star Ellie as the MC and she's a scavenger that stops the Moons" aspect of it.
>Game starts with Ellie scavenging ships near Earth for their goods to take back to Nueva Sprawl, a community that is immune to the Marker and was able to survive Earth's purge without the Moons noticing their escape.
>She traverses through the Terra Nova which still has Necromorphs on it but no signs of Isaac or Carver.
>This gives her an idea to revisit Tau Volantis due to the ayy lmaos that were there and their technology.
>The Moon is finally dead and in pieces but she's at least able to get to some of the ayy lmao ruins on some of the Moon's pieces.
>Eventually is able to use T E C H N O L O G Y to reverse engineer their language and access to their tools but realizes she needs a bigger group to help.
>Returns to Nueva Sprawl and finds it's overrun by Moons, takes the handful of survivors to Tau Volantis, several of which are learned enough to help.
>She's able to reverse engineer the ayy lmao tech with the team she managed to get together and thinks if given a few years they can get some prototype working that can reverse the biomass signal the Marker sends using the Moon itself as test subject even though it can't connect to the Moon hivemind anymore.
>Time skip and they finally figure it out but their testing has drawn the attention of the Moons to Tau Volantis because their reversing of the signal has caused the Moons to connect to the dead one again.
>Moons arrive and it's revealed Carver and Isaac haven't become Necromorphs but are instead completely insane due to the Moons and have been executing the researchers at Tau Volantis.
>In a last ditch effort Ellie uses the reverser on them and it works leading to all three of them powering up a relay dish to send the signal to the Moons killing them and bringing the bigger bad sequel bait.

Games fail if they don't sell.
>>
>>724616338
All remakes are garbage on a fundamental level. Make a new game or fuck off, is what I say to these companies.
>>
>>724618487
you wouldn't buy a new game anyway
>>
>>724618289
this whole idea is retarded af am sorry, the the necromorphs are just like the flood where they will never be truly defeated only contained and the only way to "defeat " them is killing the whole galaxy and making them die bye starvation and even with that am sure the moons could just go to another galaxy and repeat the process of making life and then eat them, i do remember being like most ds fans crying about ds3 bad EA bad but actually the franchise ended the best way possible knowing that with each new game EA was more involved DS4 could have ended more fucked than ds3 was, so yeah i do think the dlc was made to actually make and ending to the whole franchise rather a "possible teasing for another game".
I did liked a lot the remake and would kill for getting a remake of ds2 and more like total re-making of ds3 trying pushing in it more to the OG idea they have for the game before EA started making changes
>>
>>724618407
Thank you for missing the entire point.
No shit if a game doesn't sell it fails. The problem was unrealistic expectations. What would you say if an original horror film sold less than the avengers film? Would you consider it a failure despite it making all its money back and even more? If its sequel performed even better by doubling its box office revenue but still didn't meet the same numbers as the avengers, is it still a failure. Please stop being obtuse and actually engage in an honest discussion.
>>
>>724618732
>the necromorphs are just like the flood
They're not. They explicitly rely on biomass and the Marker signal to exist.
>the only way to "defeat " them is killing the whole galaxy and making them die bye starvation
Isaac and Carver killed one that was trying to thaw itself out by throwing Markers at it, I think they can figure something out if they tried.
>even with that am sure the moons could just go to another galaxy and repeat the process of making life and then eat them
They already said that the established Dead Space 4 story was going to be Ellie scavenging ships leading to stopping the Moons, but once she did it would unleash a bigger bad. We know this for a fact.
https://www.eurogamer.net/visceral-had-some-cool-ideas-for-dead-space-4
>Visceral had a plan for how Dead Space 4 would end, although Wanat didn't want to spoil it just in case EA decides to continue with the franchise. "I don't want to give away the lore, but I will say that we spent a bit of time working out the origin of the Necromorphs and what purpose humans held in this dark universe. Would players find a way out of the Necromorph apocalypse? I'd say yes, but they might be sorry they did. Sometimes you're better off with the devil you know..."

Do you think Dead Space has a tiny budget?

About Dead Space 2

>level designer Zach Wilson reported a budget of $60 million and called Electronic Arts "merciless" with its allocation,

Remake was not needed
>>
>>724618959
>They're not.
i meant more in a sense of a big bad that cant really be defeated no that both infection are the same thing, both are more like judgment day in terminator in a sense that it can't be stopped just postponed
>Isaac and Carver killed one
it was not even a complete moon plus they also had to make use of alien tech plus am sure the same strategy wouldn't be possible with an actual finished moon and not just one alone a bunch of them
>Wanat didn't want to spoil it just in case EA decides to continue
devs making up shit to try to get attention from a company that will only try another DS game if they have like super critical bankruptcy problem i they knew they need to make quick bucks
>the origin of the Necromorphs
what a way to ruin the mystery of the necros i prefer leaving vague it adds more to the horror
>what purpose humans held in this dark universe
literally answered in ds3 humans are just another species that was created by the moons to then be lunch it already very implied that the necros every time they have hunger they just throw makers to the universe until one them is lucky to start a new civilization, basically the whole universe in ds is a infinite food glitch
