Say a defense wave takes 10 minutes and the specifc relic you wanted only dropped form wave 3 and after you got the relic you still had to do a mission to open it and roll again this time for a bp. There is nothing like that in dna. You either exchange clues for letters or get them as a drop form weekly bosses.
Once I decided on a weapon to farm it took me half a day to get all the materials. That's with drop rate boosters plus I already had a stockpile from all the random rewards since the start of the game.In itself it wouldn't be that bad but the combat becomes so repetitive so quickly. I can't bring myself to do this again.
