I was literally too dumb as a kid to figure out how to beat this. Now that I really think about it, I didn't beat a lot of the games I owned growing up.
I couldn't do the PS1 Tomb Raider games but Luigi's Mansion was super straightforward.
>>724623958I probably gained like 20 iq points growing up because going back to it, I can see that now.
>>724623902Literal skill issue. I beat this game when i was 10
>>724624081Yeah, I fucking sucked. I also couldn't beat Mario Sunshine
>>724623902The Luigi's Mansion track in Mario Kart DS taught me how to kill the final boss thanks to that one painting.
>>724623902I was stuck at the tutorial repeatedly flashing my lights at the orange ghosts.
>>7246239021 >>>>> 3 > 2
>>724623902Kid me got all the way to Bowser, but 8 year old me didn't figure out that you're supposed to shoot his spiked bombs back at him. Took me several years after to finally realize what I had to do.
>>724624438Clearly you weren't paying attention when you played Mario Kart DS.
>>7246244302's developers has zero idea on what made 1 so great. They figured it out for 3 but they were too chicken shit to fully commit to it.
>>7246244301 >>>> 3 >>>>> powergap >>>>> 2
>>724624464The only Mario Kart I played was Double Dash. :(
>>724624487It's because they're too afraid to let it be eerie
>>7246244301 = 3 > 23 was a huge improvement, even if it did feel more like an amusement park at times
>>724623902I beat everything unless the game just didn't interest me or if it was too hard for me as a little kid
>>724623902I thought I was a stupid kid because F-Zero GX was the only game I couldn’t 100% at the time, because I couldn’t beat everything on story mode on veryhard.
>>724623902I vividly remember pressing the button in the room where you unleash the boos, and instead of pushing it, luigi just knocked on the wall. it had to have been a bug because I tried pressing it a bunch of times only for it to never work. I got stuck at that part for years as a result, I always thought up insane ideas for how to progress thinking it was the highest iq game of all time that I just couldnt figure out.
>>724623902I would agree if you were talking about some older titles but by Gen 6 the devs usually wanted the consumer to finish the game, hence the permanent decline in overall difficulty around that time. The Sesame Street games on NES are harder than any dark souls game for instance
>>724625696I pulled it off as a kid but it was definitely the hardest thing I'd ever done by far.
