>Dislike horror video games
Doesn't' scare me, just bores me, and it gets to the point where the only scary thing is the fear of getting caught by the monster just to get sent back to a checkpoint and do it all over again

What are some games with horrifying concepts but that don't rely on horror gameplay?
Or maybe games where getting caught by the monster takes you somewhere else and the game goes on instead of just GAME OVER-ing you?

It's not just that, the fact that all the monster does is catch and kill you and make you restart is just one aspect
Sure not having to restart too far away will make it somewhat less annoying I agree, but it won't make the monster cooler or the horror more enticing

I appreciate the help but it's a bandaid on an asscrack

Im gonna be playing HorrorVale for the most part. It's not really a horror game and is just full of undead and pumpkins. I love it a lot.
