I feel Wolf is still somewhat underappreciated as a protagonist just because he talks so little. The way his struggle at overcoming the mental scars left by his father are conveyed all throughout the game, including the environmental storytelling of Ashina's destruction, is very moving. And his relationship with Kuro is so sweet, sometimes I think about the moment where he tells Wolf about eating rice properly.
