The world is ready.
>>724634058Gimmie Rare Replay first
>>724634058Was it actually bad or were people bitching because it was not threeie?
>>724634058Tears of the Kingdom is already on the Switch 2.
Don't care. Just give me Conker's Another Bad Day at this point.
>>724635472It won Giant Bomb game of the year.
>>724635472It was literally just not a platform collectathon, as a spiritual successor to Lego Racers, and beating Zelda Totk to the punch by 15 years; it was a great game.
>>724635472it was great, especially the multiplayer. top tier griefing game. building shit to annoy other players instead of even trying to win
>>724635472It's not bad, just disappointing. No-one who was asking for a new Banjo wanted it to be a vehicle builder. Although, I wouldn't call it great either, it's got some flaws.
>>724635472I think had it been its own franchise it would have been remembered as a decent niche game. It has some problems that seem to be a result of a mid development pivot but as an entry level building game (on console) it's fine
PS5 version of Rare Replay is more likely.
>>724635472it wasn't 'bad' for me, but it sure wasn't 'good', and thats for two specific reasons:The game CLEARLY has the bones of what was once a platformer. There are platforming sections that have been scaled up 5x to fit vehicles, but have zero purpose for the vehicle gameplay whatsoever. And you get one of each item before the halfway point. The allure of getting new items and mechanics surrounding that item is gone before the game has shown you every level, and you're capable of making a "do everything" machine for 90% of the challenges at that point. What was a tolerable set of challenges becomes an endless fucking stream of repetitive or frustrating tasks. Most of which had recorded leaderboard entries showing some kind of exploit being used to complete the minute-long challenge in 3 seconds
>>724637837>no detachers or couplers>no bits of vehicle falling offi personally hated the downgraded MP
>>724638329>make a single vehicle to play the whole game withsounds like a skill issue
>>724635472it ok. it feels novel at first, but the game runs out of new ideas halfway through, and by that point you can beat every mission you get with vehicles you've built in the third stage. it's got a cool idea and a good early game, but it runs out of steam very quickly and the novelty isn't good enough to make me want to finish it.
>>724638473how the fuck is the thought process of:>why would i make a whole new vehicle when i can simply add _____ to the vehicle i used for the last race?a skill issue?
>>724638473>anon talks about a problem that shows up halfway through the game>"the whole game"literacy issue
>>724638605>you can beat every mission you get with vehicles you've built in the third stagesome retard is claiming that's some kind of a failure on your part RIGHT NOWhow does that make you feel
>>724638607The game is entirely about making vehicles to accomplish tasks. You can explore levels and find new parts or currency to buy new parts. How the fuck anyone gets to the point of>I made a hoverbike in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and now the game boringit takes a special kind of retard
>>724634058what would be the obnoxious remaster subtitle?Re-engineered?Re-assembled?
>>724638921Bolted and nutted
>>724638793okay, first of all>find new parts>buy new partsnow I'm certain you didn't read my whole post like >>724638670 pointed out.>The game is entirely about making vehicles to accomplish tasksdamn sounds like they fucked up by making so many tasks the same shit as previous ones>you probably used a hoverbike for travel in TotKyeah?but the hoverbike can't deliver a korok or hold up a sign, fuckwit. and the other options for flight vanish after a brief period, so i was forced into the hoverbike for travel. Nice example, retard.
>>724638734indifferent. if your game's core mechanics is based on vehicle building and the mid-to-late game content doesn't even require me to build any new vehicles, that's a failure on the game's part, not mine.it's a game that was dying for a sequel or more time in the oven and it didn't get either. it shouldn't have been a banjo game because banjo fans wanted a platformer and new players weren't interested in this cartoony build-a-car game on the 360 of all platforms, they wanted to play shit like halo and gears of war. and even if you still bought it and liked it, it's clear this cool set of toys got stretched beyond their fucking limit and then some. the mid-to-late game is an absolute unengaging drag.
>>724638793the insistence of comparing nuts and bolts to TotK is something only a moron who's only played one or the other would do. Every similarity is entirely superficial.Congrats on proving yourself to be an angry midwit.
>>724638982You don't just up and stop making vehicles in the vehicle making game. wear the dunce hat proudly
>>724639063>that's a failure on the game's partthis is how you feel, this is the answer i sought. please join me in the fight against this total retard. please.>game that was dying for a sequel or more time in the oven>the mid-to-late game is an absolute unengaging drag.you are literally me
>>724634058>microsoftit would be a game-key card
>>724639183i do if the game completely unincentivises making a new vehicle, moron.making a new vehicle for every N+B challenge is like making a new borderline identical loadout for every match of CoD or Battlefield. Insane behaviour by the mentally deranged.
>>724639183wierd how i keep making vehicles in the vehicle-making-game and it keeps insisting i race vehicles or protect NPCs with a vehicleseems like this is a racing and NPC protecting game with some vehicle-building elements but you're clearly the expert here so I'll keep making new vehicles and surely the credits will roll soon
>>724635472It is pre totk. It started off with Xbox 360 graphics of the first area, then veers off to bullshitland. Gotta build your karts!! Basically got Spore'd.
>>724639361>basic platformer? TOO SIMPLE. people don't want that.>complex life simulator? FUCK THAT. nobody is dealing with that shit. make it cute and lameit is all, as they say, so tiresome
>>724639472nowadays people on vee have nostalgia for the 360 era, but to me it's when games started becoming dumber and shittier to appeal to that mythical cawwaduty market. platformers were dumb baby games for plebians. games cant be simple but refined fun anymore (outside of nintendo), everything has to be SERIOUS and GRITTY and IMMERSIVE and CINEMATIC and have PHOTOREALISTIC GRAPHICS.its not as bad anymore as back then only because indie games took off, but you can still feel how that change in mentality has hurt the industry. aaa games have become, by and large, unsustainable. and it almost pains me to say nuts and bolts failed because at least it was a new idea, but it simply wasnt good even if we pretend it wasnt a banjo game.
