Why didn’t the Saints Row team continue what they were doing in Saints Row IV, and instead decided to appeal to hipsters?

I’m playing SR IV for the first time, and I have to say — they could’ve won the whole Gen Z audience with this.
They could’ve just made the same game, added some pop culture outfits, and they would’ve won over a lot of people.

Instead, they went the “oh, I hate capitalism, let’s talk about buying a waffle maker for 5 minutes” route. This is just so fucking stupid.

First Gat out of Hell, then the reboot — how they could be so stupid with the series is beyond me.
Who makes decisions in those companies, like holy shit.
