>>
I've never played a game over 50gb
>>
I cut it off at 75GB hard limit. Wont buy if its above.
The greatest games of all time were fucking MBs. PS2 discs never went above 8GB. Morrowind is less than 10GB.
Unoptimized, digital shelf space hoggers get fucked.

I wanted to check out Fortnite cause Mike Matei recently streamed it on twitch
It was 140gb

Morrowind is that big? Among the largest games of the old days I remember were some adventure games that took up six, eight, even ten CDs for all the cinematics and stuff. You'd have to swap the discs between different locations every so often. Otherwise they didn't hog much HDD, tho.

>>724699292
wait... anon hasn't named one game yet are you freaking lying to us about games being 300gb

It's not, Morrowind is like 1 GB without expansions, but of course everyone installs the expansions and a bunch of mods nowadays.

It's a live service game that's almost ten years old now. All that drip-fed collab content adds up.
>>
I wanted to play the Oblivion remaster but I refuse to install anything weighting 120GB on my 'puter

>game is at least 500 GB with all DLC installed
>this is fine because it's a simulator and everything is meant to be extremely realistic
>most things aren't and the core game is built off slavjank code from 1995

ARK. The worst part is the game is absolute dogshit despite being a bloated mess.
>>
>>724700947
If the developer is competent enough to include all his game assets in the game code or game executable, he's competent enough to store them there in formats that take next to no space.

more like past 5gb

For me it depends. Some shit like Marvel Rivals has no business being 110 gb.

Seriously, why? Couldn't they just make 4k textures a separate download like literally everyone else?
>>
>>724699635
all of Skyrim SE is under 20gb, shit is getting ridiculous
