It's primarily the nose. Snake has always had a very Grecian, straight nose. The bump they added doesn't look right.

I also think the "canon" scratches on his cheek and under his left eye look off, but those are easily modded out. There are face mesh mods as well, but all of them end up looking uncanny to me because they change too much.

Its the shader and sharpness of the models
Original was a lot more angular and lines had more accentuation to important features
