>>724772512Nothing ever happens.

Another shitshow at launch.Wait for some overhaul mod to fix it.
>>724772647but things provably did happen during the timeframe of the game.
>>724772512Never seen real life border gore?
turns out africa and asia are very large places
>>724772512what’s the issue here?
>>724772512What is going on in the maritimes there
>>724772512Australian aboriginals just reached renaissance
>>724772512Naples getting there revenge for eu4
>>724772512Fuck yes. Finally we're back to non scripted outcomes, like in EU3. FUCK your sterile EU4 garbage, every playthrough ends up the same
this game is absolutely soullessworse bordergore than eu3, worse performance than eu4, ck3's ugly cheap-looking portraits, worst ui in the history of gsgsfuck nu-pdx
>>724773435>steppe hordes in 1806>huge native blobs, not much colonisation>minor tag border gore in western europe that should have been consolidated centuries ago>no great power formed in russia or anatolia or britain or persia or india>inexplicable borders in e.g. NE scandi (sami peninsula)
>>724774090Just watch a timelapse video on Youtube if you want to see how nations and borders developed in real life. This is a video game that does not have to be a 1:1 repeat of history.
>>724774183I don't want it to be a 1:1 repeat of history, I want the AI to be capable of consolidating a region.
>>724774183>This is a video game that does not have to be a 1:1 repeat of history.yeah it's a neverending 1356 instead
>>724773292SAAAR
This is actually awesome, eu4 just ended up with ahistorical giga mass blobs everywhere
>>724774343And then it's a slog to deal with. I rarely play EU4 past 1700, because fuck dealing with Ottomans or whoever is larping as China or Russia. I have ten times the manpower, money and resources, so it's not a matter of "can I?". Instead it comes down to "can I be bothered?".
>>724772512>no ottoman or french blobinto the trash
>>724774596that's better than the map being nearly identical to the start date
>>724773086Nothing happenedNothing is happeningNothing will happen
>>724774596>>724774638eu4 ended with blobs because the ai in that game was at least somewhat competent. these timelapses show that the ai in eu5 has absolutely no idea how the game works and that they will be absolute pushovers when it comes to dealing with the player. say what you will, eu4 still provided a decent challenge during more difficult starts in the early game. eu5 will be the thing that paradox games always get memed as: an ahistorical wish fulfillment fantasy
Early access havers (shills) said it's because the AI is actually good at nation building so by the late game the warscore cost of seizing their provinces is gigantic and wars are a slog. Seems fixable by amending values, namely making battles more devastation in the late game, having end game siege weapons act faster and introducing war score cost reductions that are currently missing. If they're not lying, of course. Strangely, I have yet to see any scenarios where Europe has seriously conquered / colonised India, Indochina and Indonesia as happened historically so I guess Paradox's orientalism is still strong.
>>724775209but things happened
