Anyone know a good strategy for Chip Fever event?I managed to get Enguarde but I'm struggling to get the Kong Banaza statue.
Prioritize Chip Thief while doing missions to build up a stock of chips early, get the 50% increase with Magic Wallet whenever it shows up, then stack Chip Magnet to get emeralds passively. If you have enough chips and stack it to level 5+ you should hit 1M emeralds by the end without having to do anything else. Use Smelting Green on the last few rounds if you still need one last boost.
go fopr chips and don't spend them, everytime "x1.5 chips" show up you take iot. also get the passive income with chips and during the last round you try and get the "trade chips for emerald".Reroll as many times as it takes as this will easily net you a million alone.
>>724777975I did this but the other way around. I prioritized Chip Magnet, then Chip Thief then Chip Negotiator. I only picked Magic Wallet when there where no better options. I ONLY used smelting green in the final round. Also Lanky Kong and Chunky Kong next week.
>>724780639Isn't the next event at the end of November? Not immediately after this one.
>>724780789I assumed ther next event would start directly after this one, which ends 11/4
>>724780918November 25th IIRC. It's silly they only run the events for one week if there are going to be two more weeks before the next one anyway. I've also been keeping up with the seasons in Pokémon Legends ZA for the exclusive mega stones and those are simply three weeks with the next one starting immediately afterwards.
>>724777641Keep getting chips and dont cash them in for emerald until the final round. Worked for me.
Why does a single player game have events?
>>724782245Doesn’t make sense but if it’s going to let me see Lanky and Chunky again, I won’t ask too many questions.
>>724782245Nintendo testing the waters. I sure as fuck hope that this is not a new norm.
>>724782418>if it’s going to let me see Lanky and Chunky againIs it?
>>724782245>>724782475Smash Ultimate has similar events so it's not a new thing. It is weird for Bananza though.
>>724782513They are allegedly the next event statues
>>724777641This was paid DLC, right?Crazy. It's like asking money for Balloon World in Odyssey.
>>724782837No it's not. Balloon World was a small framework for user-generated content. Emerald Rush is a big mode with dedicated rules, systems and assets.
>>724782938>This was paid DLC, right?>No it's notYes, it is. I looked it up. It's about $20.
>>724783063"No it's not" referred to "It's like asking money for Balloon World".
>>724783063He’s saying they’re not comparable. Emerald rush is far more deep than the balloon minigame. And even comes with a new map to play on.
>>724783089Oh.Why do you think this game is worth a $90 (total) purchase?
>>724783192NTA but main game is really great which you can get physical for 60.DLC is a solid roguelite but a bit pricey.Overall I would recommend playing the main game and see if anything more would interest you.unless you were just trolling/provoking
>>724782837It's much more in-depth than Balloon World, but it should not be 20 dollars.
>>724783434Nah, I just don't see the DLC ever being worth the investment. No idea why it wasn't free.Base game looks good tho.
>>724783510It’s well worth $20. I’ve put in 30+ hours into it and I still have some unlocks left. It’s not easy. It makes you play differently than the main game because you won’t be beefed up with powers and will need to use whatever you have at the moment.
>>724783721>It’s well worth $20.Lol no.No DLC is worth 1/3rd of the base game's price.
>>724783510But it is a very fleshed out mode. If it didn't come out so soon after its launch no one would bat an eye.Maybe Nintendo should've made this a standalone game.
>>724783786It’s $70 is the base price. $20 is not a third of the price. The mode is significantly different than the base game and has a lot of content. Well worth $20 for me. I felt it was overpriced until I got maybe 10 hours in and realized the mode was way deeper than I realized.
>>724784690I just can't think of a reason to pay $90 total for a game mode, sorry.
>>724783801Nintendo fucked up by including DK isle in the DLC name when it's just a low effort hub for Emerald Rush.
Are they going to cycle these events? I might play this mode, but I have too much to play and won't buy it right now.
>>724785205They haven't said but it's very likely, it's how it works with limited time unlocks in the Switch Mario sports games for instance.
>>724785414Well, when my backlog clears I'll look back into it. If they aren't repeating then I'll pass. I think I'll get $20 of value out of it, which is good because they sure won't discount it. I also don't want to get it right when they're doing a timed event and give the impression that timed events for single player games will push sales.
I thought the reviews would be more favourable, based on the posts ITT.
>>724785861I've seen reviews that didn't even play long enough to know it's playable on 12 layers and not just 6 like it appears at first.
>>724786009They probably didn't play that long because they didn't like playing it.Doesn't mean their score is more/less valid.
>>724786069They are scoring the game based on incorrect information. I saw several YouTubers review the game making incorrect claims about how much content is in the game because they didn’t give it a chance.
>>724786069It sure would be better not to include false information in your review though.
>>724786191>>724786215If you can prove those metacritic reviews are based on fasle information, by all means do so.Otherwise this is a fruitless endeavor.
>>724777641Is emerald rush actually good? I've been wanting to play more nananza but I don't normally like rougelikes
>>724786445Based on reviews? No.But theres at least 2 anons ITT who like it.>>724785861
>>724786445Pros if you like Bananza as a whole: it teaches you to play in different ways that emphasize all forms of movement you may have ignored in the base game. It also turns your upgrades off and has you think about what to re-unlock and prioritize during that run.Cons: it's still a roguelite, based on repeat runs and RNG missions and perks you're expected to strategize around. I'm not sure I'd recommend it if you don't like the genre, even if you love the game itself. On the other hand, you may come to appreciate it because it's wrapped in Bananza's mechanics and level design.
>>724786341Looking through the reviews, it’s mostly just retards giving it a 0 because they thought it should be free. Imagine looking at the avg review score without actually reading them. Those that actually gave it a chance liked it.
>>724786897>it’s mostly just retards giving it a 0 because they thought it should be freeCan you post a few examples? I can't see any.
>>724786445It's pretty good, because the base Bananza movement and mechanics are good. Though I think it has some balance issues as a roguelite, because you have a lot of control over the RNG elements and I feel like there is a clear single viable strategy.
>>724786754I think the biggest strength of this mode is forcing us to be resourceful. I appreciated the game more. My playthrough of bananza had plenty of instances of challenges being trivialized by me having too many upgrades. Now something very simple can be tough because you lack upgrades. The way it’s played is so different. I think a playthrough of bananza or low or no upgrades would be way more fun than what I did.
>>724787031open your eyes hon
>>724787031Filter user reviews to negative reviews I shouldn’t have to spoon feed you
>>724787245>>724787248So you can't post any examples? Thanks for confirming this fact.
>>724787313lol stay mad
>>724787403That text is unreadable.Got a bigger one?
>>724787313You being a lazy fuck does not negate the truth. A game is not a 0 because you think it should have been free.
>>724787520Thanks for posting 2 examples.I don't think this makes up "most" of the reviews like was claimed earlier tho.
Sing with Pauline
>>724787649You asked for examples you retard. You can go to the page yourself and see more examples. And giving it a 2 for not being free is not much different than giving it a 0 for being free. You are not arguing in good faith and it’s unsurprising hater dumbasses behave like this.
>>724787916>You asked for examples you retardI know. Why are you getting upset?>You're not arguing in good faithWe're not having an argument. You think I'm arguing with you? I'm not. I have literally zero aggression towards you, stop pretending otherwise. You'll make yourself look foolish.
>>724777641>the Kong Bananza status you unlock doesn't even have a little Pauline on topFUCK NINTENDO
>>724787916Why are you continuing to engage? That Anon's just farming (You)'s by continuing to "just ask questions."
>>724788153There's already a non-event golden DK and Pauline statue.
>>724788860It's just inaccurate. DK in his Kong bananza form always has Pauline on his shoulder.
>>724788801>Being correct is "farming you's" nowWhat is this level of cope called?
>>724789043>What is this level of cope called?Emerald Rush;^)
>>724777641Just get the chip multipliers and hold on to as many until the end and smelt them. Extremely easy, only took me two tries.
>>724788052>>724788052I provided the examples you asked for and you move the goal posts and ask for more. Again, you are either the most brain dead lazy fuck to ever visit this site, or are arguing in bad faith. You’re obviously a broccoli headed zoomer who has zero critical thinking skills. And because you’re really this useless, I’ve provided the user reviews link that are negative for this dlc.https://www.metacritic.com/game/donkey-kong-bananza-dk-island-and-emerald-rush/user-reviews/?platform=nintendo-switch-2&filter=Negative%20Reviews
>>724789043lol you have been wrong about everything and still continue to spew retarded nonsense
>>724790270>I provided the examples you asked for and you move the goal posts and ask for moreI didn't ask for more, I just said that 2 examples isn't "a majority of the reviews on the website" like was claimed previously in the thread. Why are you getting so upset?>>724790391>You have been wrong about everythingpost 1 example.
>>724790624>post 1 example.post 1 example you you not being a little shit
>>724790748>Asked to post one example>"N-n-no y-y-you...."Thanks for confirming you don't even have 1 (one) example.Cute ;3
>>72479062417 out of 18 negative user reviews complain about the price. The scores range from 0-4 out of 10. 9 out of 18 of negative user reviews are a 0 out of 10. That is not an honest review. You are a massive faggot. Provide an example of you not being a faggot. You can’t do it.
>>724786445If you like DKB and roguelikes you'll love it, it's as simple as that.
>>724780046Yep this worked for me. Be sure to save a fossil or two for the last round just in case the goal sucks and you're short on time.
>>724791283And that's out of how many total reviews?95 total reviews, and 17 complain about the price. That means that I was correct, when I said ples isn't "a majority of the reviews on the website" like was claimed previously in the thread. Thanks for confirming that I was correct all along! Don't know why you got so upset.
>>724791651I was referring to the low average review scores. That’s what actually had writing attached it. I’m sure there’s more review bombs without writing. 17 dishonest people review bombing the game because of its price are going to absolutely lower the average score. Those who gave it positive reviews actually played the game.
>>724791494I accidentaly discoverd this method on my first run and even though I traded all my chips for emerald in round 3 I still managed to get 1.8 million. The x1.5 multiplier is really powerful.
Think we'll see all the kongs added as statues? Will they use redesigned Tiny or the original?
>>724784690That makes it worse, not betterDo you understand that, drone? They increased the price then withheld content to sell you as overpriced DLCSheep like you will make Nintendo consider updating Mario Odyssey to remove Mushroom Kingdom to sell back to you
>>724792525I hope the original design. Candy was 64 design but some kremlings had paon designs.
>>724792650>>724792650Lmao here’s what it comes to. You are deranged about Nintendo and can’t think rationally about the dlc. It’s often $90+ for deluxe version of games all the time with just some cosmetics. Resident evil 9 as an example. This a full fledged new mode and way of playing. Was it separated from the full game? We don’t truly know that. It seems that way, but reports have stated that the switch 2 launch was delayed to polish the games and make sure the supply was there. So bananza could have been finished or mostly finished for 6+ months with the dlc still being worked on and then they released it. We don’t know enough to make a fair judgement. I think $10-15 would have been a better price, but the package is beefy enough to warrant $20.
>>724792525Will the Japanese ever acknowledge her as Dixie's sister?
>>724787031https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sealioning
>>724786754I think the single biggest problem with it is how the frenetic time-attack action-platforming works with the fact that it is a roguelite and you have to constantly check the map.
