>>724844415Will the games be good?I miss the old Mass Effect games.
>>724845009I'm sorry anon. You're getting The Outer Worlds 3 and you'll like it.
>>724844415All they had to do was make gamepass free with ads from the beginning. people would've happily paid $10 a month for the premium package, once they were used to the benefits.
>>724844415only one of us can krash, buddy
There won't be a next xbox console, if there was certainty of a new one people would call it series X2 or 2X instead of saying "nextbox"
i'll buy it cause i don't llike repasting my vrams every year cause cat hair got into it
Even now that I'm mainly PC I get the Xbox store version if available and price competitive and I use an Xbox controller, and my OGbox and Bone X still sit under my television. When the Disc Replay here went out of business a few years back I blew $200 clearing out the lot of $2-10 Xbox/360 games. Big backlog still.I'm still an Xbox fan eventhough they've done nothing but shoot themselves in the dick this past decade. It is not unreasonable that I purchase this product. Premium computer box that I can access my PC purchases on from other storefronts too from my living room? Hell yeah, sign me up.
>>724848034>Paid Microsoft shill actually lurks hereNo same person would use the Xbox store over pirating, steam, or even gog.
>>724848034Microsoft Store gets different versions of the same games without patches because the Microsoft Store isn't a priority. What's even the point of shilling for Xbox at this point when Valve is about to shit on them again with the Steam Controller 2. Steam Deck 2 is going to kill the first party Xbox handheld when that comes in 2028 because Windows sucks.
>>724844415Do you think this move will turn things around for Xbox?
>>724848318No
>>724848318>this move>literally has less information than rumour mill postsXbox is dead.Just because your reading comprehension is so low..>microsoft is doing 'something'>WORDS WORDS WORDS RUMOURS NOTHINGBURGER
>>724844415imagine buying a jeetbox lmfao
>>724845009>Will the games be good? You will get exactly what has been released during the Series era considering that's their modus operandi going forward so it'll mostly be small forgettable games, some occasional solid 7/10s, AAA games that are always worse than their predecessors, remasters or remakes, and tons of CoD games. You will also have them available on other platforms including physical copies on things like the Switch 2 and PS5/6 leading to even less of a reason to opt for the Xbox version.
>>724848318the time to do this was during the xbone flop era, not now when they're making a prebuilt pc... which obviously they can't charge online on. Otherwise they 100% would.
>>724844415>Nvidia 6090 performance for the price of 1k $>Pc gayman specifically catered towards couch vidya>Access to Steam and everything else a normal computer can run like emulatorsYeah Xbox won next gen, not even remotely a contest. No amount of whining will change that dear snoybabbys, you just keep cucking yourself to a limited game selection, especially curated your snoy overlords to milk the everliving shit outta you, of whom majority are 100$ +tip "remasters" of old games.
>>724848105>No same person would use the Xbox store over pirating, steam, or even gog.Microsoft has the best rewards program.
>>724848318it depends how desperate the economic climate is. going off trends ive heard from tech youtubers, with crypto mining and now Ai inflating the price of PC hardware, some PC gamers have shifted towards consoles since a top of the line GPU that used to cost 600-700usd now costs 1,700 to 4,000 usd. And if you are going to use Mid Range hardware anyway, consoles become more appealing. And with the rise of tablets and smart phones replacing PCs, a trend that started after the 2008 crash, there is a generation of people that never needed a pc. So if they can release a PC/Console for 1000 that is comparable to the PC high end while offering a regular pc experience, why by a sony that only plays playstation games. Why buy a gaming pc that is 1000usd more expensive.
>>724850534>thinking people will buy a console for 1 thousand fucking dollarsnigger we are about to enter a recession thats gonna make 2008 look like a joke, and back then people laughed at the idea of spending 600$ for the PS3im not saying Sony is any better, they will probably price the PS6 the same but with that in mind gen 10 has been handed to Nintendo on a silver platter. Were gonna be seeing PS4 ports until 2030 with these low ass adoption rates
>>724850919what you're thinking of isn't gonna happen.Consoles are sold at a loss because they know they'll make their money back from people being forced to buy games, less sales like steam, paying to play online, etc. With a prebuilt pc, microsoft can't do any of this. They'll have to charge more than market rate for the hardware like all prebuilt pc companies do (costs for assembling, profit, etc.)Sarah bonds or whatever the bitch's name is already described it like a high end/premium product. It's going to be overpriced as hell.
>>724850919>why by a sony that only plays playstation games. Why buy a gaming pc that is 1000usd more expensive. Why not just by a Switch 2 and Steam Deck 2 over a $1500 not console?
Microsoft is obviously exiting gaming. Even if they do release a new console (unlikely) the high price is designed to make it fail.
>>724849740i dont think even pricing the console at 400$ would sabve them at this pointthe PS4/Xbone era was their only chance to turn things around, you have kiddies out there with dozens of games the got through PSplus that they wont easily give up, its never been so over
>>724851017>Consoles are sold at a lossi know, but we'll have to see if they want to be Premium Nintendo. Nintendo only sells hardware they profit off of. but to keep hardware prices reasonable, they use old outdated parts. Microsoft could also pick parts they will profit off of, then sell it for a premium but with custom part to save cost. Similar to Dell. i dont keep track of the automotive industry, but Ford apparently has done this. abandoning low end affordable cars for 80-100,000usd trucks because no one has money, but these products are bought by people that do or are willing to take out huge loans.>>724851060like with small form factor pc builds, you usually pay more to make something small. weird custom cooling solution and tigher tolerances. but if they can throw the an APU on an ATX motherboard and solder on the ram, any basic set of heatsinks and fans will do just fine.
>>724851347>Microsoft is obviously exiting gaming. They spent billions on ActivisionWhat are they gonna do?Sell everything including shit like Bethesda, Halo, and Minecraft to make up that loss as they leave gaming period?
>>724844415Unironically sounds better than the RROD experience.
>>724851561no lol, just sell games like sega does now. It's obvious they are so far behind now that nothing will convince people to drop their current eco system and switch. Especially since the games they make aren't even good, and are available on sony and steam anyway.
>>724851347Yeah, I think they're sending out Nextbox to die as a kind of final flourish.
>>724851545>like with small form factor pc builds, you usually pay more to make something small. weird custom cooling solution and tigher tolerances. but if they can throw the an APU on an ATX motherboard and solder on the ram, any basic set of heatsinks and fans will do just fine. Most people would want devices built for gaming over some shitty Windows PC that costs about as much as a PC, you might as well get a Desktop or Laptop, at that point.
>>724851929the existing consoles are basically running pc parts with a console software environment. this is especially true for the current xbox. if you own a console you already own a pc with heavy restriction. If they sold a windows11/Xbox that can play steam games, that automatically updates itself like consoles current do, and is offering superior performance for the price than pc then im not sure what there is to be upset about. you can buy a cheaper playstation that only plays games. you can buy a pc and get the performance you can afford with less restriction. but there is always an audience that wants the best but is to stupid and lazy to learn to build and maintain their system. they will pay a premium.
>>724851636>no lol, just sell games like sega does now. That wouldn't be exiting gaming
>>724852517it'll be like the cockroach in your kitchen you can't seem to find when it matters. It's mostly gone but it still somewhat remains.
>>724844415>>krashesLooks like someone shitposted way too hard and no, kde doesn't krash much nowadays.
>>724852483This just feels like what Valve is already doing with SteamOS but more complicated while being Windows. Windows is also bloated.
>>724844415Do you think they'll FINALLY stop holding the industry hostage and add gyro to their controller? It's been a standard feature on their competitors controllers for almost 2 decades.
>>724853117its not more complicated because its what they are already selling you but with better hardware. the xbox is already running windows.
