>>724853284the only parts of the game I remember are the very start and the very end. the game is worse for Elise not having enough screentime and not being torn between vengeance and Arno, because it makes him look like a simp. to be fair all the important characters don't get enough screen time. still I have some sympathy for Arno because he's the only AC protag who doesn't have his shit figured out, it oozes of youth for lack of better words. I played the game years after release so I skipped the buggy mess and tricked myself into thinking it wasn't that bad
I think it's really interesting how he ends up with the Assassins when they're a bunch of dicks and the Templars are much nicer to him.

>>724853284Deserved a better story.My headcanon is that he destroyed both assassin and templar order and started a new group called Unity while helping Napoleon become the new emperor.He aided Napoleon in finding another piece of eden in Saint-Denis and ended up aiding Napoleon's campaign in Egypt.With the end of the Napoleonic Wars, old and battered Arno is banished from Unity which later morphed back into the french Templar order. To honor Napoleon's final wishes of hiding the pieces of eden he would bury himself in the catacombs of France with them as Altair once did, hoping his descendants don't repeat his fuck ups. There he says that the creed isn't a permission but a warning.Unity and Dead Kings are less than half-truths.
