I'm playing it now, pirated version on patch 1.4.1. It's pretty cool, combat is decent but so far all the bosses have just been dodge to the side and back attack. The weapons all feel unique enough. I like the environments as well. One of the better of these style of games so far.

Personally I would reduce the amount of damage to the front needed to stagger slightly, make significant changes to the way the stagger meter resets (currently I think it's set up so if there isn't any source of damage within a certain timeframe it fully resets within under a second, I would change that to after a shorter amount of time the meter slowly decreases over maybe 10 seconds) and make it so backstabs only do a third of the meter instead of instantly staggering.

So many just instantly break out of your combo after two hits and start countering. Which leads me to feel like I can't combo unless I go behind them. Generally I love the game but only having 4 quick items was a bad design decision. Really you only have 2 items because you'd be retarded to not put the regenerating health flasks and weapon boons in 2 of them. You can't pause the game so you are kind of stuck with those 2 until you are safe enough to change them out in the menus.So basically I hardly use most consumables in this game, just the two I might need for the current enemy / boss. At least in Bloodborne you had 2 sets of 6 shortcuts to items, and healing didnt take one up
