Now that the dust has settled, what was THE best game on the Sony Playstation Vita?
>>
Soul Sacrifice Delta and even that sucked.

You're mothers cunt.

I'm a Vitaphile and I never played SS, it looks like Monster Hunter which I hate. Is it worth checking out if I don't like MH?
>>
>>724860430
Dragon's Crown
>>
While not the best game LBP vita was impressive for what it was. Not sure how cucked it is with servers being down now though

Gravity Rush
Otherwise I only used my Vita to play indie games or a few mediocre console ports (

>>724860651
No, it's just store brand monhun
Same goes for Freedom Wars
>>
>>724860651
Depending on what's exactly that you don't like about Monster Hunter yeah. The lore is interesting, and the spells are fun to mess around with. But it has the same structure, you are locked in a smallish arena with a single or maybe a couple of boss monsters and you beat it up, loot it, get stronger, fight stronger monsters until, repeat. So if this sounds boring, you will be bored.

Gravity Rush
SSD
Tearaway
Dungeon Travelers 2
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir

If you own 5 Vita games these are the ones you should own.

Muramasa also has its best version on the Vita and Dragon's Crown is fun as well.

I liked multiple games on this thing
>Soul Sacrifice Delta
>Gravity Rush
>Earth Defense Force 2 (Invaders from Outer Space)
>IA/VT -Colorful-
>Akiba's Trip 2
>Muramasa Rebirth / Dragon's Crown / Odin's Sphere
>Atelier Arland & Dusk trilogies
>>724860651
Soul Sacrifice is different from MH in that you fight Grimm-folklore monsters in a single arena with your inventory of six spells

Nobody ever gives Severed credit.
Made by the Guacamelee guys and it's an incredible game. I don't think it's playable anywhere else being that it's a touch screen game. Maybe it made it to phones, I don't know.

>>724860997
I forgot about IA/VT. Really easy but I enjoyed it.
>>
>>724860430
It was great for jrpgs, it's how I played P4G and it was so fucking cozy

It wasn't remotely unforgiving with the timings like the Project Diva games could be (with the SAFE breaking your combos) and I found IA's songlist to be overall a lot more of my liking. Some of the tracks in Hard were difficult though.

Those are fine games but only existed for like a year or two. Niche weebshit and indies "saved" the console after Sony lost interest in it

I did enjoy Resogun and Hotline Miami on Vita but they were far from what I would consider the best games had to offer.
I argue to say many multiplatform and ports were rough on the Vita, like Rabi-Ribi, Risk of Rain 1, Atelier Sophie (and onwards) or Gal Gun, unlike the Switch by comparison

Even though they didn't run perfectly it was still the ideal way to play indies for the few years before the Switch dropped
PS+ monthly indies kept me coming back to my Vita while my 3DS gathered dust

Port (or sequel) when?
>>
>>724861884
The Switch came out six years after the Vita, that's like comparing the DS to the Wii U. And just like the Vita, it ran some multiplats well and some were rough(Doom, Wolfenstein, Witcher 3 etc)

Shame about the Ninja Gaiden games running at 30fps, maybe they could have ported Black at 60fps instead if they didn't lose the fucking source code
>>
>>724862595
Yes, but it was really nice to have Ninja Gaiden on the go at the time.

I like Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+ too, but it's got a really weird dynamic resolution, it's weirdly funny to see.
>>
>>724862473
Dead or Alive 5 running on the vita is insane, it looks great and smooth too. Just such a shame they never released any of the DLC characters for it so it is stuck with a vastly inferior roster to the full version.
