With the Ape Escape Astro Bot level and the monkeys appearing in the Snake Eater remake makes me believe there's someone out there that still gives a shit about this franchise.

>>724876279They care enough to reference it but not enough to fund a full fledged game. Collectathons are niche as hell if you aren't a Nintendo series or indie. It's a miracle we got something like Astro Bot at all out of modern Sony.
Of course there are people who care, it's just that Ape Escape isn't that easy to turn into a highly progressive live-service game.
