>>724910691With the exception of that one pedophile that kept saying "cunny" at random as if it were the punchline to an epic joke, the outfit around trump's victory was a fun time.
>>724909820I would say Red Orchestra 2 and Rising Storm during their peaks. When you had servers full of people who didn't know where the cheese spots were or how to fuck with the settings to delete grass or literally wallhack. Just trying to stay alive because you need bodies in the cap. I tried to like Rising Storm Vietnam, but all the maps turned into camp on the flank and shoot dudes or rush flanks to kill those dudes on your flanks shooting you and then you camp there.
Red orchestra 1and 2,all the games made by that indie who made Verdun/inzoi

>>724913549Black Orchestra had been releasing soon™ for years, they had that announcement like 6 months ago. Shit's going to be DOA. '83 was released in early access and did not go well at all.

>>724909820I generally don't care for most of interpretations of WAR BAD because I think to the anti Vietnam war messaging films and realise that the withdrawal from Saigon caused far more issues and solved nothing. I see most Hollywood interpretations of it as NVA sympathising propaganda. That is what I immediately think of what I'm gonna get with 'war is hell'.
>>724913320>camp on the flank and shoot dudes or rush flanks to kill those dudes on your flanks shooting you and then you camp there.True, but at a minimum RO2 could have benefited from the squad system where it's 6 to a squad leader instead of fucking 16 to 1 SL and if that SL is bad your team is screwed.
>>724919602TSMT xister we should send 100,000s of young productive men to some random shithole elsewhere for years so they can return home with severe mental issues and missing legs(and that's not even a near-peer conflict!)as a matter of fact why don't you volunteer for the front lines yourself?
>>724918747Movies often get this wrong. Most soldiers in both world wars were with their company at all times. You weren't isolated and alone, you were crowded in with a hundred other guys at all times, packed like sardines into foxholes and ranger graves constantly smelling the stench of shit from the nearby latrine and the rot of dozens of unretrieved dead strewn around. You had no privacy and no sleep, you ate, dug and fought with someone as dirty and tired as you pressed up against each shoulder. The crowding and proximity wears on you as hard as any isolation ever could

>>724920118depends on which war really, in ukraine while the trenches are packed infantrymen are scattered in small squads so they don't get BTFO by a kamikaze dronehave you seen the ruZZian motorcycle raids? kek
>>724909820
>>724920112>gookcom sympathiser triggered regarding a statement that gookcoms should have been stomped and their influence curbed before it could spread further globallyI'm unapologetic about it too. The fact that you're allowed the freedom to misreport on war atrocities (many of which were confirmed to be fabrications, that caused mass outrage in pushing for withdrawal) might give you some perspective about what we were really up against if you knew the extent of it. We allow all sorts of enemy propaganda in our countries to become apart of our culture whilst the countries we were fighting would throw you into a prison for it. Most of the deadbeat 'peace' 'activists' of that generation just got into higher education positions or into politics to rewrite the history of it.
>>724921308are amerimutts this retarded?
>>724921468I'm Australian, I thought that was obvious by my pic rel. I just read more books on this than you, older stuff that's out of reach for most people. Because I've spent a lot of time in book stores for most of my life and read actually incredibly old prints of books, magazines and newspapers. Contemporary historians are clueless with their information on 'nam. It's all rewritten today.
>>724921890>imma go dig trenches in dumbfuckistan so my amerimutt brothers can build mcdonalds and raise pride flags therestop playing call of duty(amerimutt propaganda sponsored by the US military btw), if you read books about wars you'd know how terrible it's for people who have to endure it

Red Orchestra 2 / Rising Storm 1Avoid Rising Storm 2Try Red Orchestra 1 / Darkest Hour '44 - '45 if you can find a server.Disregard every other answer ITT.
>>724909820Oddly enough, the first thing that comes to mind for me is Yggdra Union. It seems like a straightforward "get revenge on the evil invading empire" story at first, and the cutesy graphics makes it seem likely that's all it will be. Then the protagonists switch from liberating their own kingdom to invading the enemy's, and suddenly you're cutting down militias composed of people who are just trying to defend their homes and families.

>>724909820Battlefield 1 made me feel sick the first hours of gameplay. The interactive intro is emotionally impactful. Truly makes you understand WW1 was absurd and horrible, but then you feel a bit sick playing the actual game. Feels like it doesn't make sense. All games about WW1 tend to highlight the fact it was a shit war based on nothing

>>724913320you dont get the same feel with Hell let loose or post scriptum for some reasonI think the key is that in ROyou can just pick up and playyou dont need le squad leader/commander for le tactical gameplayyou just spawn and run into meat grinderRO2 having spawn point near the battle but keep them in wave to simulated reinforcement was the right way to goso when bunch of retards spawn they all spawn at the same time and can meatwave togethermeanwhile in HLL you need some fag to do chores like building supply depot that become pointless for the rest of the match, or some squad leader having to spawn a pointthen you hike for 10 mins before getting shot from gods know where
