Just talk about the game you're playing. How is it so far? Do you recommend it or is it complete ass?
I just got done with Stellar Blade and had a fun time with it, The whole thing is short and the combat is a mix between Nier Automata and assassin’s Creed, Plus 4K Asian ass is worth it
>>724927708Im playing Street Fighter 6, but im not even playing, i just downloaded it for the goon skins, and yes, it is ass cause im using a freecam mod to have chun-li's summer outfit ass all over my screen
Got Dead Island 2 for Halloween. It's kinda fun. Simple but nice to look at.
>Aline IsolationI like the asthethics and how even OST tries to emulate old movies. Then there are cool little details that add to tension like rolling garbage that makes a sound and you make scare youself, debrees outside making moving shadows and so on.But damn is it slow and everything about controling your character feels "consolish" in a bad way, Long Dark is way worse at being consolish I would say but it's still sours my enjoyment of the game.
Shadowverse WBSome of the worst balance I've ever seen in a card game. Why the fuck am I playing this shit still?
>>724927708Valkyria Chronicles 1Play it for the story, grind your teeth through the gameplay if you're not willing to play scout meta.
Battlefield 6It's alright. Maps are kinda claustrophobic compared to earlier BF games, but it's still the same old meat grinder with some wacky moments from time to time. The campaign is garbage of course. Also I feel dirty for having kernel level EA spyware on my computer.Would never have paid full price for it if my friends weren't super into it.
>>724929303>play scout metaAnd then they did the same thing again for 4.
>>724927708Dark Cloud of all things. The camera is by far the worst part about the game, at first I thought it would be the weapon durability but repair powders are cheap and plentiful so losing a weapon would be your fault. I've been on a binge playing emulated PS2 games, but by far the best so far has been Gauntlet: Dark Legacy.
>>724927708I totally fucking recommend Pavlov Shack. Wearing wrist weights. Buying AWP and 50 S&W revolver with an Uzi every Team Death Match.Plus everyone, well almost everyone, are super racist. Like CounterStrike Source back in the day.
>>724927708>ValheimRestarting again due to new biomes and shit from last I played; they somehow managed to make the copper era even worse with the addition of bear spawns which seem to be pretty high or just my shit luck. Bear paws are a fun as fuck weapon though.I wouldnt recommend it solo unless you dont mind the grind or you adjust the resource rates
>Dying Light The BeastIt's fun. Nights are scary, guns are good (variety's lacking, but what can you do). drop kicking shitheads is still fun, albeit it's sometimes a safety hazard. Going BEAST MODE and fucking up a bunch of pursuing volatiles feels great. Map is smaller and significantly less vertical.I say it's not worth the sixty buck they are asking for it, but at 40 or less, hell yeah. Honestly, I'd even buy DL2 at this point. I played the pirated version and enjoyed it. Yeah, there was a lot to be upset about, but overall, I had fun.
>Alkaline mod for QuakeQuake's base game is okay, but it took Arcane Dimensions to show just how good the gameplay is. Alkaline is as close to a sci fi version of AD that we'll get. Some of the levels are a bit shitty and try-hard, and are clearly made by younger and less experienced mappers since they go for style over substance (unlike AD which was mostly made by pros who just happened to like Quake). However, I'm still really enjoying it. The new enemies are cool, most of the maps are still very nice and are interesting to explore and I'd happily play this over almost any modern game because the gameplay is fantastic.
>Final Fantasy II (pixel remaster) It's neat to see how the series staples began, but I'm not enjoying the non-exp levelling system as much as I hoped. I'm going to push through since I'm over half way anyway, but I can see why they stuck with Jobs after this
>>724931515How you finding the town-building stuff? I recall liking that when I played the game back when it came out, but reckon I wouldn't enjoy it as much if I played it today
>>724933202A little puzzle, but a strangely relaxing one. Setting up the town so that all the townsfolk are happy and it looks nice works fine, but that the shop keeper is also randomly (or as far as I can tell) discovered meant I went through 10 floors of the first dungeon before I could stop relying on the free handouts from the mayor in the first town. It's very much a Japanese rpg though, so there's a fuckton of either poorly explained or just unexplained mechanics entirely. You can upgrade weapons into entirely new weapons based on the stats of the foundational weapon. The game never mentions this. Paradoxically the ability to lock on and block were explained on the second level of the dungeon rather than the first, which is funny in hindsight but feels like that order got mixed up a bit. Overall, it's fine. I completely forgot there was a catgirl in it, so that was neat.
>>724927708>yakuza 7When do I start playing?
>>724927708It's alot better than the first Outer Worlds. >The Gunplay is VASTLY superior with better animations and sound design>Writing feels better>There's alot of call backs to things you find through other shit. Like if you find a character and get their opinion on a plot critical character, you can USE that info later to help>Stakes feel better than "everyone's starving, corps suck lol">On that note they toned down the "Fuck da corpos" brow beating, >The game has some stunning beautiful moments where the Art Design really shines out, really selling the "1900s in Space" stuff.>You don't feel like you're exploring a "bowl world" anymore. But I have my complaints too>Companions feel eh. Then again I don't really focus on "Leadership" the skill that makes your companions not fold like wet toilet paper. Otherwise it's the same as the last game.>Character wise, it's about the same, I don't really care alot about my companions. The only standout is a murder hobo cult lady, but that's because she looks cute and actually has some character to her. The rest, I don't feel much to (then again I'm like 2/3s in I think, so that remains to be proven wrong>Crafting feels inconsequential once you make/sell enough bits to cover buying out stocks of ammo (classic Fallout New Vegas)That's about it so far as best I can. I really like The Outer Worlds 2, but not "Pay $70" like it.
>>724933448>I completely forgot there was a catgirl in it, so that was neat.Oh yea, the sling shot girl! That's a blast to remember
>>724927708This thread is addressed to meI just started Stellar Blade demo and it seems not bad.I was playing Wuchang earlier today. That game is great, really. Gives me a feeling like when I played Sekiro
>System Shock(the original) currently on the executive level where you go around entering groves where Shodan grew the mutation viruses.I really like the game and am impressed with it.Just tiny little details like being able to climb specific walls where it would make sense(walls that are just cabling panels or overgrown with vegetation) or little environmental details like cabinets across the station having logs or some physical items but then the cabinets in the executive floor having drug patches because executives gotta executive, the level design is very fun to explore and even though I find myself getting turned around a lot I feel it's very well designed. How surprisingly indepth the augmentation/hardware menu is for a game of this time, I even like the gameplay after I stopped using the laser rapier which is stupidly powerful.>Recommend itDefinitely. I thought it'd just be an overrated nostalgia romp that I'd get through quickly just to get to the sequel and the remake(I'm 'particular' about not playing games out of release order) but it's a genuinely fun and very well made game. Considering it's also Looking Glass I'm very much considering playing Ultima Underworld now which I've shied away from due to its age.
