While some of the EFT systems suck (like the bodyhealth system) GAMMA progression is far more fun than CoC and everything based on it (like IWP). Even with docx quests, which are buggy and never finished, the gameplay is far too boring for a long immersive run. You get a quest and 20 dudes spawn with exo armor and end game guns, you throw 3 nades, and you are leaving cordon with the best backpack, a top tier gun, a shitload of rubles, and maybe even high tier armor or even an exo. The progression of GAMMA and the balls hard survival mechanics make a nice immersive sandbox. There needs to be a GAMMA with normal health system desu or at least make the meds in GAMMA stop causing dizziness for fuck's sake.

Gamma is (was?) fun. I last played it in january. Its a serious grind though and not one i want to go through too often.

I got a VR headset and have been playing into the radius 1. Fantastic stalker-like game. But i got sick recently and VR needs full health and attention, so i last played it 2 weeks ago even though im cured now.

I can't speak about S2 but Gamma completely misses the point of STALKER.
It assumes people play these games for the gameplay and cranks that up to 11, when in reality STALKER is played for the atmosphere, suspense and exploration, all of which are missing or severely limited in Gamma.

It's nothing like EFT.
In GAMMA you take limb damage, use a medkit to temporarily fill in the health, then use some painkiller to permanently restore health.
In EFT, medkits restore limb damage directly, unless they're completely blacked out, in which case you have to use a surgery kit. Painkillers are used to negate debuffs from blacked out libms.
