Fuck all of you that said high framerate was a game changer.
>>
Now go back to 60.
>>

was pretty much same for me

60 to 120+ is huge for me in general motion.
>>
>when OP buys a screen like this and calls high refresh rate a scam
>>
>>724939543
Interesting. This is the one I boughted: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/32gp850-b-32gp83b-b
>>
>>724934354
Super high framerate is something you'd want for esports autism. Otherwise the difference isn't that big. And shit has diminishing return. Going from 30 to 60 is massive. 60 to 120 is noticeable, but not as much. I can barely see a difference between 120 and 240 FPS. And I was meme'd into buying a 240 FPS display. I just keep shit locked at 120.

>he fell for the VA meme
WE KEEP WARNING YOU BRO
>>
OP once again falls for the above 60 scam.
>>
>>724935538
Pretty easy, just start the game at 60 fps. 4k seems like a better upgrade, even more so if oled, but it's too expensive rn.
>>
anything over 70fps in a game is invisible to me
>>
>>724934354
You didn't change the refresh rate, did you?
>>
>>724934354
For me the difference in input lag is very noticeable, but i just lock to 60 if I it oscillates too much above 60.
>>
>>724934354
I kind of agree, but not at the point where upgrading from 60 fps wouldn't be a big deal. 60 -> 144 was infinitely bigger leap than 144 -> 240 which honestly I can hardly even notice.
>>
>>724934354
I feel there's something retarded going on here. You upgraded your monitor sure, but did you also upgrade your GPU and set your OS up to the correct framerate? Because going from 1080p/60Hz to even 1440p/100Hz is a gamechanger, I can only imagine going up to 180Hz and you need a pretty powerful GPU for that.
>>
>>724941142
I'm OK with 60hz, video doesn't go above 60fps as far as I know and you can run games comfortably at 60fps without needing to push your hardware
>>
>>724941327
If you can't just plug it in and it just werks then it is a scam.
>>
>>724941439
Good luck getting 60fps in doom on your 486 lmao.
>>
>>724934354
So put your money where your mouth is; return the new monitor and stay with your old one since it's good enough and you can't tell the difference
>>
>>724941327
Not OP but I didn't get tricked.

>>724942469
You can never escape VA smearing as black simply responds slower than the others. Even the highest rated VA in the RTings database has this as a complaint.
>>
>>724934354
I feel this way about pretty much all graphical improvements, including frame rate, resolution, lighting, fidelity, HDR, etc. I was happy with 480p 30fps as a kid, there's zero reason I shouldn't still be now. But it's like a drug, you start taking more and it's thrilling for a short while before it becomes your new baseline and then you can't go back.

HDR is the most recent one for me. I was absolutely blown away at first, but over time I've found myself more and more having to deliberately find enjoyment in it, to where occasionally now I even have to check if HDR is even active.
>>
>>724943338
HDR is a scam.
>>
>>724934354
Now try to go back to 60 and say you honestly can't feel the difference.
>>
>>724943837
It isn't a scam, I mean the difference is there. It's really nice seeing fire, particle effects, muzzle flashes etc pop out of the screen. It's nice having bright lights and pitch blacks right next to each other. But like anything else it eventually becomes the new default and your experience playing is exactly the same as it was before.
>>
Bait thread, OP is a faggot.
>>
>>724944397
of course its bait, claiming >60fps matters in any form is a sure fire way to get (You)s.
>>
>>724939993
Grim. I have something like that as my chat/taskbar monitor and it sucks ass.
>>
>>724940041
240 Hz is for 120 fps gaming with BFI. I’m kinda sad I got an "only" 165 hz monitor.
>>
>>724944113
You just sound like a dopamine addict. Things aren't supposed to be a neverending explosion of pleasure. I've had a high refresh rate monitor for years and I still enjoy using it.
>>
>>724944526
It does matter. It makes even small things like moving your mouse and widgets around on the desktop better not to mention the gaming benefits. It's night and day from 60 FPS not just a slight difference.
>>

If you reply to " above 60fps/1080p makes no difference" or "[something good] is a scam" you got baited by third-world poorfags.
>>
>>724948194
yes yes and you need a 60% keeb and a 8k polling rate speed holes mouse as anything less is 3rd world poorfags amirite?
>>
I've never seen 60+ and I kinda don't want to.
