>still the best villain in history of videogames
Literally who
>>724938779He's not even the best villain of his game.
>>724938779ok reddit
>>724938779>villainHe was practically a party member during shadowbringers
>Basic shit gets copied from any anime>Gamers and capeshiters immediately think its the deepest thing ever
>mfw he says the thing from the trailer
>dark sorcerer attempting to summon his evil godwow, what a unique and interesting villain
>>724938779i would never know because i dont play ff14 tranny shitthat's a lie, i played launch, but this guy never showed up, and the story was fucking boring, the dialogue was cringe, the characters were bad, and im not about to play 5 expansions worth of shitty story because "it gets good after season 7" let me guess: this faggot is allegedly evil but then he was helpful because you couldnt see the bigger picture but then he was evil again but then he was helpful but then he was evil?
>>724939337Nigger.
>>724938779t.
>>724939843Nah, he's evil, he shoots your best friend with a fucking gun, and then dies and makes all the 40 year women that the play the game so wet they have to bring him back when you back in time as someone that helps you, but he forgot you were there in past because of a memory wipe and in the end I guess he was a good guy in a way.
>>724943002>he shoots your best friend with a fucking gun,The game would have been significantly improved if it struck true.
I like the trope where the villain hangs around your party enough throughout the plot for you to get familiar before the final battle.
>>724938779I wonder when they will bring him back
>>724943447more games that do this?
>>724938779why are shadowbronies like this
>>724938779he isn'ti like Emet but he is not the best in the history of vidya
>>724938779Mogged by Zenos in his own game, honestly mogged by that brown seething guy too
>>724938779>muh Cillian Murphy/Jack Sparrow/Cruella DeVille antagonistHe's genuinely better than 80% of ALL FF villains at the very least. Easily a top 5 contender from that IP.But in ALL video games? He could probably barely scratch top 50. He just isn't nearly iconic as some of the industry's big bads over the decades.
>>724943836>that brown seething guy?who?ilberd?
>>724943551Kotor2
>>724938779I never played Endwalker, so I don't know what they did with him there, but I thought he was 10/10 all the way through Shadowbringers. One of my favorite ever vidya characters. Also I ended up playing FF3 a few years later, and it's straight up a Shadowbringers prequel it turns out, so that was cool. Felt like I got to explore more of my favorite part of an MMO.
>>724943936>He's genuinely better than 80% of ALL FF villains at the very least.Boy you better back the fuck up, you're in over your head.
>>724943945Yeah
>>724944250I love FFV but Exdeath was kind of a silly villain.>"Mwahahaha!! I'm evil, and I am going to get more power so I can destroy the world... because I am evil! Mwahaha!"I am barely exaggerating his dialogueI guess there's some merit to having a villain be that two-dimensional
>MMONope
>>724938779>remeber usNah
>>724938779jack was the best. Emet selch was the best villain ffxiv had, though its not a high bar.
>>724938779Mogged by the Immaculate Janitor.
>>724944832THAT'S HIM
I'm pretty sure atlantis was our amaurot and we're all fucked up now from noah's flood
>>724944705>jackHAHAHHAHAHAAHA
>>724939341>>724939361>contrariansand you have to gall to call others reddit
>>724939337FFXIVs take on QSame sarcastic assholeEven same finger snap
>>724943936>name 49 better video game villains>name 49 video game villains>can you even name 49 video games?>name 3 books you've actually read
>>724944832Shadowbringers really was a great expansion, it had so many good characters.
>>724938779not even the best in FF14, so should the fuck up, fujo shitter.
>>724945251like these cuties :D
>>724945110He's a psychomaniacThat's right.
>>724945268>name 3 Final Fantasy gamesyou can't even pass this hurdle, can you?
>>724944485Many early FF villains suffer from technical constraints causing their writing to be shortened up or relegated to easily missed dialogue>Garland and Mateus have little going on for them in their base games, though were expanded in secondary games like Dissidia >Cloud of Darkness is a force of nature rather than full blown villain>Golbez is the first semi-fleshed out villain given that FF4 is the first FF with an established party of characters>Exdeath's goal of destroying the world isn't elaborated on much, but stems from him having been a tree used to contain hordes of monsters that eroded him over time and drove him to self-destructive tendencies>Kefka is presented fairly straightforward, could be called the first FF villain to be fully fleshed out>Sephiroth knocks this several steps backwards by being a clusterfuck of conflicting ideas that only become more warped as FF7 is expanded>Much of Ultimecia is implied rather than outright stated, with her being stuck in a perpetual time loop and the implications of that becoming both more grim and more hopeful depending on interpretation of Ultimania lore>Kuja's gay>Jecht and Seymour are around the time the writers got their heads back on straight>FF11 has some of the best villains in the series, to the point that XIV frequently lifts ideas from it to this day>Vayne Solidor did nothing wrong>Fuck FF13 and the entire FNC universe>Ardyn is entirely carried by his VA, and is otherwise a petty bitch handed an OP power to give him plot armor>Ultima is flawed but very interesting with the mix of direct and indirect info leading up to the twist in the end
>>724945343Final Fantasy ExplorersChocobo Mystery DungeonWorld of Final Fantasy
>>724945613literally none of those are Final Fantasy games
I don't know if it's a problem with settings with high powered magic, but the goals of villains in them always fall a bit flat for me. End of the world level threats are a bit stale.
>>724938779back to your containment general, trannies
>>724938779>muh daddy emetJust delete your character
