I dont think split fiction deserves goty, the story is very basic and hacky, and gameplay is very surface level

KCD2 is in a weird middle place where the old fans hate it but it didn't cultivate much of a new fanbase, Split Fiction won't get it because IT2 already won, Silksong is a 2D platformer and a sequel of a game that already got its hype, and Yotei is just Tsushima but gayer, and Tsushima was already just a Ubisoft game to begin with.

It doesn't take a lot of brainpower to go "what if we pretended to be legitimate gamers and praised our game on social media/forum sites/imageboards". If it was feasible, it would've been discovered earlier. It's either too expensive to run months long campaigns like that with not enough people being convinved to buy or too obvious when a bad game is being praised so much. Not worth it in either case.
E33's only completion is Silksong, and even that doesn't feel worth a decade's wait. It would've owned last year too. Rebirth and Metaphor were mediocre at best.
