So Vis is very obviously going the villain/antihero route, right? Season 2 will have a throwaway line to explain her turn if you got the redemption ending. It's still kind of a redemption since she saves you and the city but she becomes a morally ambiguous rogue element.The rogue Vis route opens up the most story options by far. If she's fully redeemed then she effectively has nothing to do anymore and will just be another set of hands on the team like Sonar or Coupe. Blazer's the leader, the world's best superhero, and your boss, so keeping her relevant is easy, but without moral ambiguity, constant side shifting, and "will she or won't she redeem herself?" there's not really anything else you can do with Vis's character, especially with Shroud dead. She was only relevant to this plot in the first place because she worked for him. The implication that she'll become the new Shroud is way too big and obvious of a direction to just write out. I can easily see how they'd wring drama out of that scenario. How Robert and Mandy would be still trying to redeem her, how she'd be oscillating between being helpful and antagonistic in the face of a greater threat, and how this would all build up to a dramatic resolution. Whereas if her arc is complete I can't imagine what she'd do, especially in routes where she isn't the designated love interest. And even in that scenario the story remains way more interesting if she's Invisibitch with a Catwoman-like dynamic with Mecha Man (even most invisifags concede to that). This story originally being written as a show makes this extra obvious. Why is she absent in the ending? Why does the way Robert beats Shroud look so weird if she doesn't do it? Why does literally no one talk about being angry at the traitor being welcomed back? Because none of this sprouted organically from the story.

Its why Visi is forced into this awkward role as the mole, as it allows her character to viably fit into the redeemed or evil ending while staying in the same cutscenes. All likely due to a lack of budget and development that should have gone into the finale
